I see quite many Note 2 here, but it only holds 2% of the market share worldwide?

Anyway, congrats Samsung makes 8 of the top 10 most used Android.

And i see lots of hater comment there haha.... cheap plastic ugly phone... hmmm... i wonder is it because Samsung focus more in specs rather than design and use plastic to cut cost  hmm.gif

Haha.
So it's all about the beauty on the outside?
Pretty sure they do not know bout the beast inside. tongue.gif

Anyone knows what is the time to charge the Note 2 from 0-100% via wall plug & Usb Port?
*
For wall plug, 2 hours more or less.
Usb port im not so sure. Never tried to charge fully using usb. If im not mistaken it is about 3 hours or so. Depending on the cable too.
You can try measure the input current using an app called GCC.

Haha..ya bro..been doing something in past month. rclxub.gif
If turning off data..msg cannot got thru. That phone have selected app which can still use data. Others will be blocked.
Actually i dont know whether it got block or put to sleep/disable. If only block then it's bad for the phone system ss certain background apps will keep on searching for its data gathering. Better if those apps got disable like Nexus. Once disable it go into sleep mode until got enable again.
*
This is pretty similar as using battery saving app.
For example juice defender. You can still select an app to run without binding it to the juice defender.
Probably the concept is almost similar to what sony presents with the new phone?

I read the first page and the ts says that if there is a hissing sound when charging the phone then can get a replacement set??
But i am confused now I did more research and some people say it is perfectly fine.. this is due to the fact that the charger is ssupplying huge amount of current into the phone.. the sound it makes is due to the flow of electrons across the wire.. did anyone experienced the same hissing sound??
*
I do experience hissing sound at the moment.
From the GCC app I could not get max input current which is1800mAh. My input current fluctuates between 1100mAh to 1300mAh. Now I cant get more than 1300mAh. I even got buzzing sound instead just hissing. But the buzzing is quite faint.

phone went from 21 to 61 in 1 hour and 15 minutes using laptop usb 3.0 with GCC reporting 1000 as curr_avg. I really think its giving it out more than that lol. max says 1698 since I set it at 1700, but I think its not possible to get that much charge in such a short time if it really was 1000ma, no? hmm.gif
*
It should be about right. For a 3100mA battery, with an input current of 1000mAh you can fully charge the phone within 3hours or so.
1000mAh = 1000 mili amperes hr

Too bad my usb only giving 700mAh.

Monx and stock kernel is quite good. Battery life is not bad.
But feels empty that there is no stweaks. Recently updated monx and my perseus32 stweak profile is gone. So lazy to flash it back. But I think I managed to find a good profile for perseus32.

Bro, I think I remember you saying that GCC reports 1300ma for you right? what is your charging time? around 3 hours also? hmm.gif
*
Yes, without playing with the phone.
But sometimes I do check the current and if its too low I would pull out the charger and put it back again.
Perhaps it's only me that's facing fluctuating current.

All I can say is if there are anything which has a "high" faulty rate about this phone, its the charger/usb cable lol. I went and change both with directD, used once to check whether its fine, then just put it in the box and use iPad charger sweat.gif don't dare to risk it again. fruitie kena twice ready.....
*
Haha. You are right. Most complaints comes from 'snake' charger.
Nothing much bout the phone. In fact I use my phone more than my laptop even for work.

Morning peeps.
Wow. Interesting discussion guys.

I think no one has ever shut anyone down in this thread. Refer to first post or first page is the best and simplest answer and is far from shutting down anyone. To new guys it may sound sarcastic buy that's what you get for not reading.
Some of the forumers here would just post or answer any of the repetitive questions from newbies but to a certain level it could get very annoying and if you were the one asking that same question, you might not be so lucky if you got flamed.

So like most of the seniors here said, read before posting. Well if I happen to see any noob question I might respond. Post count worrr...tongue.gif no heart feelings. Just my 2 cents.

Here's something for everyone to consider.

rhino screen protector

Prevents ur phone screen from shattering. Preventing heartbreak and that 700 bucks screen replacement. Anyone?

I wonder how it will affect the touch screen and spen sensitivity.

what do you mean hard in the morning?

anyways, read that monx has some issues with the simplistic framework devs.
might not have it in his next rom. hmm.gif
and latest dmb2 monx rom seems pretty good with stock kernel.  nod.gif
*
Nah. Just wrong use of word.
Lol. There's no double meaning of 'hard' in early morning.
Anyway back to topic.
Think my screen got problem. Blue line appears at the bottom each time I unlock the screen but for an instant only. It's like when you turn on an old tv. Hurm...how to explain this??

Can't find that out as I cant get into home screen, just stuck at never-ending boot loop. It started with a IMEI of 00004999xxxxxxx which then led to an unmountable efs folder then this
*
Seems like efs is not your only problem. I once lost my imei and I lost my radio signal. Luckily I did a backup.

I'm saying flash in 4.1.1 and cause a hard brick. Then you can go to SC nicely  whistling.gif  and say SDS or something like that without needing to pay.
*
I didn't know that flashing back to 4.1.1 could brick the phone.I tthought one of the method to get full unroot and everything official is to flash old bootloader and flash back 4.1.1.

I do not want to be the one to say it first. Since you started... well, initially no one responded to him but as he got more interaction he thought he could turn his notoriety around. However, a leopard cannot change its spots. Hence back to his deviated ways he goes.

This refers back to the first page. Im not siding with anyone but his act should be warned.

Lol. Just take it like this. Everyone is anticipating for the 4.2 update but dont really know when we can get it. So the recent updates are like tiny small steps to climb for the much awaited update. smile.gif
