QUOTE(Everdying @ Mar 4 2013, 12:35 PM) Bale has been playing in the hole since Dempsey is injured. whatever it is, looks like a pretty even game...crappy defences and swift attacks forĀ both teams Yeah pretty even, perhaps a slight edge to Spurs. Well, we'll see how far BR's squad has come this coming weekend. Playing at home, we must not lose. Correction: Every game is a must-win game now This post has been edited by 8sg9ft: Mar 4 2013, 12:46 PM

QUOTE(RedSiglap56 @ Mar 4 2013, 06:37 PM) IF we beat Spurs and IF both Arsenal n Everton fail to get 3 points, then we may be looking at a slim possibility of 4th place. That's two big IFs! and ... provided we don't frustrate ourselves by dropping unnecessary points! Yeah u forgot about Chelsea too. They are the ones who are 4th now. Very slim. 10 pts to gain in just 10 games. At least 5th looks more possible now thanks to yesterday's result.

QUOTE(dillonyong @ Mar 6 2013, 10:10 AM) I dont wanna say nothing but we were victimised by ref early part of our seasons like left, right and centre. Now they get how we felt. But speaking of the game, I had wanted an English team to win even though they are our rival. Keep the healthy UEFA points for England so that there will always be 4 teams qualifying. Every team will have its bad days with the ref. That match against Real happened to be one of those days for them. Too bad. So, they're out and Arsenal looks like going out too. No English teams in q-finals of CL. Wonder when the last time that happened. About UEFA coefficients, don't think 1 bad season by English clubs is gonna hurt English league's chances of having 4 teams in CL. This post has been edited by 8sg9ft: Mar 6 2013, 10:48 AM

QUOTE(moodswingfella @ Mar 6 2013, 02:58 PM) Xabi can excel with BR short passing system. He can do it with Spain, why not with us? There's a time u need to deliver short pass and there's a time u need to spray those long pass killer ball but yea, its up to FSG and BR. Absolutely right on this. Short passes can only take a club so far. Sometimes a long through ball is the answer to break down a well organized, stubborn defence. Don't think BR would go for Alonso though. Look at all his signings, all young players.

QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Mar 7 2013, 06:38 PM) Rooney's Actual Value = 5-10mil Because he plays in the BPL = +5m Because he's english = +20mil so about 30-35mil for a mediocre player at best and way past his prime. QUOTE(Mikeshashimi @ Mar 7 2013, 06:42 PM) I wouldn't want Rooney even if he's free Wow, I can feel that burning hatred I wouldn't want him in LFC too because of his past. But he's definitely not past his prime.

QUOTE(lerijiso @ Mar 7 2013, 06:46 PM) Roonpig?..Man.. that's too complicated with Everton and ManU. Also, our team's handsomeness level will go down the drain. George Clooney better. LOL wut? Remember, handsomeness level can only take a club so far. Sometimes you need ugly players to be heroes for the team

QUOTE(leftist @ Mar 11 2013, 01:57 AM) Allen changed everything..we have more balls after he's in I agree. He brought a lot of determination too. Won quite a number of balls back in midfield. Before that we were on the ropes. Spurs' midfield were swarming Liverpool's QUOTE(bearbear @ Mar 11 2013, 01:58 AM) Bale surely outshine Suarez - problem is he outshines his team mates too. who else is showing real threat in a white shirt? been a long time since we fought back like this We fought back against West Ham to win 3-2 as well. It wasn't even 3 months ago. This is an important win. Coutinho looks a very good signing so far. His vision is pretty amazing. Gotta work on his defending though. Downing was very good as well tonight. Becoming a norm nowadays that it's really unusual. But his shot for the goal almost gave me a heart attack

All against teams battling for survival. Not gonna be easy meat when they're fighting for their lives. But I'm still expecting them to win the next 4 games.

QUOTE(RedSiglap56 @ Mar 11 2013, 02:39 PM) Gareth Bale is to Spurs what Gerrard was to Liverpool during Stevie's peak years - quite awesome. However I agree with BR's point about Bale suddenly appearing in our last quarter and crossing the ball that led to Spurs' first goal. Before that, Bale had gone out injured. The linesman didn't do his job and gave Spurs an unfair advantage. Nevertheless this is a major, major win. Hopefully it will be the impetus for the remaining games of this season. Very happy that at least we can go into these games with hope! I'm also very glad that BR is now refusing to talk about top 4 or where he hopes to finish in the PL. That's the way man..just continue the run, keep going! YNWA Huh? The ref clearly signalled to allow him to come back on. I don't think the linesman had anything to do with it. It was a legit goal. Shouldn't have let him get a cross in the first place.

QUOTE(Everdying @ Mar 15 2013, 05:07 PM) who cares about everton. they still have to play man city, spurs, arsenal, chelsea... our fixtures are relatively easier. but that still wont help the push for 5th...unless gareth bale somehow breaks his leg and spurs lose all remaining games. I have a feeling Spurs are too strong to lose their top 4 place at the moment, especially when Bale's in good form. Arsenal and Chelsea more likely to goyang Got chance for 4th? Slim chance. Unless Chelsea and Arsenal lose 2 more games before mid April and we keep winning ours.

We've always been an attacking team Last season we were probably top on attempts at goal but we were worst in conversion rate. This season's conversion rate is better and our attempts probably about the same.
