if you want to update to newest ios you have to do a restore first

download the latest ios ipsw file for your phone (search it on the web;malaysia set is iPhone 5,2)

after that open itunes,hold shift and then click restore and point toward the ipsw

let it run and it will notify you if you want to restore your backup (if you have any)

after it reboot youre done... 

*note that latest ios cannot JB so you have to wait till ios7

I have 4s with iOS 5.1.1, and tried to update to iOS 6.1.2 few days back got myself this error 3194...
I followed the instruction on iclarified, backup and put the phone in dfu mode and use shift+restore to use iOS 6.1.2 and come up with that error 3194...
I read a few pages back said that I cant update my phone to iOS other than iOS 6.1.3. Is this true?

True, Apple closed the signing for 6.1.2 for their device, but for pre-A5 this not applicable
You can only update to 613 if you want to update your firmware~

error 3194 happens when iTunes tries to validate the (.ipsw) and is unable to reach Apple’s validation servers

Are you trying to restore to 5.1.1 or 6.x

apple doesnt sign the old firmware anymore

so if you want to restore your iphone, download latest ios (Google it) and do a shift + restore using itunes 

*do not update using ota or do a reset all using your iphone 

apple sign latest firmware only..so if you want to restore you have to restore to 6.13 only

jb is stable. the tweaks are not. specifically mobilesubstrate.

I can say 100% stable. Just u need reinstall mobile substrate if only ur tweaks not working..3 days on JB, no sudden restart or hang occur..i really love it..

Mobile substrate is the core tweak and it will automatically install once u jailbreak. Just google for step to jb bro..

ur installed tweaks should all be under the tab "manage"

for ur second question. install bootstrap n re-install mobile substrate that shud work.

what is reboot and respring icon ? is it because of bootstrap ?

just to make sure u shud be downloading activator beta 1.8.2~rc1 by ryan petrich. I've been using it with no problems.
