hmmm..I think if we really push hard..we can do fast laps.
But, no margin for error la.

Certain corners, you can startbraking right when you reach the 50 meter
signs.
But, at the hairpin...100 meters.

With practice...will succeed.

Differ people, differ driving styles.

Guys,
care to share you driving styles?

I mean how you guys slow down.
Brakes to slow down?
Downshift to slow down?
Using what buttons to slow down?
Using what buttons to brakes? etc.

If you drive a manual car (I have...took P licence..bet you guys did too)
Each time we change gear, we push clutch..then upshift.

And the speed of the current gear stays...unless we upshift or downshift.

Wonder we can do it in F1C?
With that, we can accelerate faster since we are in a high gear after attacking
corners.
I always use brakes to slow down.
And it suxx when you suppose to attack a specific corner with gear two (2) but
when you brake...you gone to gear one (1). Waste time and speed.

I hate manual cars..hehe...those Kancil when took the P licence doh.gif
I got the Kancil with a crappy gear and hand brake (the hill parking is tricky)
Thank god I passed.

ya, i knew but very hard to use low traction when using keyboard...
will try..
didnt use so much of that.. but if hit the curb in RH05, already fly and bang the wall..  tongue.gif
normally will not go full length.. but fuel usage set to x5 and length around 25%.. so can set 2 stop strategy.. but computer AI players always 3 stops.. dont know why..
others long time never try.. will try soon.. wait a minute, all the time is in RH04 right?

then next race we race full length?.. tongue.gif...

I use the brakes a lot....never use the gears to slow the car down. However my driving style is actually different...I prevent myself from braking or downshifting at all when I'm on the road. Basically if I see slow cars in front...I let go the accelerator and let the car slow down itself. Of coz when need to stop, use the brakes lar.

I remember those P license cars...on the day I took my test...the uphill test, I just tapped the brakes and the car came into a grinding halt! Dunno what old junk they gave me shakehead.gif I almost hit my head on the steering wheel doh.gif

Letting go the accelerator to slow down will make you lose time.
I learned that...when the car slowed down when reaching the corner (especially
hair pin) keep pressing the gas pedal on and off so that we stay on the max of
gear one (1)..then easily accelerate to gear two(2).
Well, that's how I drive.

I manage -0.700++ faster in Sector 2 at Indianapolis.
On turn 9 and 10..both in 1st gear.

biggrin.gif
bad day huh?
I was lucky though..the JPJ was nice to me...thank god.
I even entered the wrong gear...he told me correct it and did not failed me tongue.gif

I recommend MOMO to all.
I would have never perfectly attack corners without MOMO biggrin.gif
I'm happy with it.

letting go of the accelerator is sometimes faster than braking. it will use the engine as brake, thus not much momentum is lost. you always hear that racers "lift" during certain corners. well lift means lifting the foot of the gas pedal.

hmmm...but I did letting it go sometimes..then hit it on an off at certain corners.
Here's a tip.
Each circuit has this high speed corners.
No brakes...just accelerate and attack + letting the gas off then accelerate in
the middle of the corner.

Sepang - 6th,7th,12th and 13th corners.
Indianapolis - 2nd,5th and 7th corner.
Montreal - none...too bad.
Silverstone - 1-5th

These corners made the difference in fast lap times.

My 2 cents icon_rolleyes.gif

mistake. Sepang free flowing corners are 5th and 6th (i don't bother lifting, just dab the brake a little)

If you can stable the car at the 4th corner, the 5th at indianapolis can be taken full throttle.
as well as monaco's 14th to 17th corner
