Alamak, have problem with MOMO lah.
Suddenly, when before racing...the wheel just automaticly turn 100% to the right. Makes it hard to turn left and right properly since each time I turn left or right, the wheel just want to turn to the max. Before launching the game it was fine..must be the in game settings. Any tips? linkin???? |

QUOTE(linkinstreet @ Jun 30 2006, 12:47 PM) Cabut the momo usb. don't bother with the power as it's only used for the force feedback. anyways, want a better control of ur steering? try setting the speed sentivity to 0. this will make the steering as sensitive as real life Same result.Maybe I need to format my PC. Yesterday, like virus screw my drive. |

I solved my wheel problem.
They guys at http://www.racesimulations.com said put -100 at force feedback. It worked. I adjust to -50..perfect. But, I still hope to use down and upshift to slow down the car. Correct me if i'm wrong, there are two (2) ways to slow down the car right? 1.Brakes And 2.Downshift. Off the gas...then hit the brakes. Off the gas...then downshift. On BMW-Sauber steering wheel, the down and upshift is behind the wheel.. the clicking thing (they who have MOMO know this) Correct me... |

hmmm..I think if we really push hard..we can do fast laps.
But, no margin for error la. Certain corners, you can startbraking right when you reach the 50 meter signs. But, at the hairpin...100 meters. With practice...will succeed. Differ people, differ driving styles. |

Guys,
care to share you driving styles? I mean how you guys slow down. Brakes to slow down? Downshift to slow down? Using what buttons to slow down? Using what buttons to brakes? etc. If you drive a manual car (I have...took P licence..bet you guys did too) Each time we change gear, we push clutch..then upshift. And the speed of the current gear stays...unless we upshift or downshift. Wonder we can do it in F1C? With that, we can accelerate faster since we are in a high gear after attacking corners. I always use brakes to slow down. And it suxx when you suppose to attack a specific corner with gear two (2) but when you brake...you gone to gear one (1). Waste time and speed. I hate manual cars..hehe...those Kancil when took the P licence I got the Kancil with a crappy gear and hand brake (the hill parking is tricky) Thank god I passed. |

Using gas to downshift makes time slower. |

QUOTE(young_soul @ Jul 1 2006, 06:51 PM) I use the brakes a lot....never use the gears to slow the car down. However my driving style is actually different...I prevent myself from braking or downshifting at all when I'm on the road. Basically if I see slow cars in front...I let go the accelerator and let the car slow down itself. Of coz when need to stop, use the brakes lar. Letting go the accelerator to slow down will make you lose time.I remember those P license cars...on the day I took my test...the uphill test, I just tapped the brakes and the car came into a grinding halt! Dunno what old junk they gave me I learned that...when the car slowed down when reaching the corner (especially hair pin) keep pressing the gas pedal on and off so that we stay on the max of gear one (1)..then easily accelerate to gear two(2). Well, that's how I drive. I manage -0.700++ faster in Sector 2 at Indianapolis. On turn 9 and 10..both in 1st gear. bad day huh? I was lucky though..the JPJ was nice to me...thank god. I even entered the wrong gear...he told me correct it and did not failed me QUOTE(PRINZE @ Jul 1 2006, 09:06 PM) ahh.. montreal time faster than mine.. u so bad.. make me so tempted to buy the MOMO.. I recommend MOMO to all.no way man.. eyes will bengkak..haha.. ya.. play like this is better... the brakes also need to take care.. else last few laps the brake will koyak and u unable to stop... i had few times engine blow on last lap.. so angry.. I would have never perfectly attack corners without MOMO I'm happy with it. |
