Planning to get Unifi Biz5, the RM149 package.

As advertised, the speed is 5Mb.
Is it 5Mb for download, or for both upload/download?

So it's 5Mb for both download / upload right?

All the while I was using Streamyx, it's 2mb download, but the download is waaaaaaay slower.

Anyway, will I have problems with HyppTV if I were to fully maximised (aka using the 5mb) to download stuff?

Or will the TV goes on loading ? haha

It's free. But so long as the new place has got Unifi too.
If not you will be downgraded to Streamyx until the contract ends.

Sweet!!

Wondering, how will the HyppTV set up ?

Does the TV gets the feed from the wireless, or via wired (e.g HDMI) ?

The installation is like: Line in > BTU > Wireless Router > Set top box > TV
So, it is a wired connection from the BTU to the set top box, which in turn, needs to be connected to your TV via HDMI. You can play around with options like homeplug to ease your cable troubles..

As for the phone, it is connected directly to the BTU as well.

Anyway, the TV will not be effected, even though I am simultaneously downloading stuff from the Internet, right ?

^ LOL guess you are right smile.gif

Btw, I receive HYppTV for free, and not just for 1-month.
Perhaps it is because I am a loyal TM customer?

Anyway, I can only watch free channels, and not the premium ones, after the 2nd month. For the first month, I can watch all channels. A good way to entice me to subcribe to more channels, I guess?

LOL is there a list in TM to indicate which are the free channels ?

Hey guys, I got a phone call from Unifi Sales. They said that I'm able to upgrade from 5 Mbps 10 Mbps with just additional RM20. Total price will be RM169 before tax. I will be locked another 2 years contract once upgraded.

Is this worth the upgrade and also comparing with Maxis Fiber.

wo0t, sounds like a good offer.
With IPTV or not ?
