hi all~maintain old phone line not free,y my streamyx bill charge me rm26 rental?~
*
You need to call 100 and tell them you want to request for rental waiving as you have already migrated to unifi.
They will waive the rental for you starting from next bill.
btw, the streamyx & phone line must be the same owner in order to enjoy this rental free tongue.gif

Just want to add another information I got from customer service. For highrise building, installation charges outside your apartment/condo,e.g. corridor, staircase or riser is all born by TM. Inside your apartment/condo,i.e. after your door or window of your unit, you will be entitled to 15m of cable,i.e. white cable, free, unless you requested for covered or over the ceiling installation.

Thanks for sharing rclxms.gif
Btw, the current standard charges for over ceiling installation is RM170 tongue.gif

Hi there,
Do you mean we can migrate to unifi and got unifi number (for free?) while retain our old number(waive the rental) ?
*
Yes, means your house will have two numbers.
Unifi is definitely giving for free, while the old number can retain for free (call 100 to ask for waiving the rental) PROVIDED the streamyx and phone line have the same owner.

Eg 1 : Can waive rental
Streamyx owner: LEE XX
Homeline owner: LEE XX

Eg 2: Cannot waive rental
Streamyx owner: LEE XX
Homeline owner: LEE YY

However, only Unifi number can enjoy free calls to TM fixed line. tongue.gif

Lets take unifi vip 5 for and example.
So I just have to pay rm 149 and enjoying unifi vip 5+ unifi number + existing number (waive) right ?
*
BINGO tongue.gif
Ah....should be RM 150 in total because you will get separate bill for the existing number, they will charge RM 1 for itemised paper billing.

thanks for telling me this..i might keep the number then..since changing the phone no will be troublesome for me..
*
No matter you terminate or keep the existing phone no. , you will be getting new VOIP phone no. from Unifi.

And yes, if you choose to keep it, you will have 2 phone no. in house and RM 1 will be charged for the itemized billing for the existing phone no.

One more thing that you might need to concern of, if you are staying in High rise building (Condo/Apartment), you must have two telephone ports in order for you to keep the existing phone no. If only have 1 telephone port, you will need to terminate it because Unifi will be using the only telephone port tongue.gif

Oh man, that sucks  cry.gif
Coz im moving into a new place soon and the place has no unifi...erm, another question but this is regarding unifi, if im still in contract, do i still get to pay the penalty RM500 if i terminate the contract early even though i've returned the unifi equipments? This is because like i said, the place im moving into has no unifi available.
*
Yes, if you choose to terminate your contract early, you will need to pay RM 500.
However, a good way for you to avoid the termination penalty here. Its up to you whether to follow it or not.
Since your new place got no Unifi, you can subscribe to Streamyx instead. If you do not wish to subscribe Streamyx, TM will consider that you has prematurely terminated the Unifi contract and a penalty of RM 500 will be charged. If in the case where Streamyx services are also not available, you will not be charged but you need to show utility bills as proof. rclxm9.gif

Just visit TM point when you need relocation and let them know your situation, so they can assist you based on your situation. biggrin.gif
