Fred Perry Country Polo - Belgium.

I bought these two polo t-shirts two months ago but never had the time to unpack them from the paper bag. Well, since it was a long holidays (and wife was away)......

Made in Japan (MIJ) Fred Perry. Please pardon the wrinkles as they were sitting in the paper bag for way too long:





Button holes stitched with 2 different colours:



The black polo comes with 2 different Mother of Pearl buttons:



In general, all MIJ Fred Perry will start with code F. In this case it is F1542:



For the blue one, the code is F1753.



A slit at the bottom, different from any other Fred Perry:







Many may not know this but Fred Perry was acquired by a Japanese corporation Hit Union way back in 1995, and most MIJ are produced for local Japan market with a twist to the classic design and a slimmer silhouette. If you are getting bored with the twin-tipped M12, M3600, MIJ is the way to go.

From fredperry.com, it only took 4 days to arrive, delivered by UPS. In case you are asking, yes, I was slammed with an import duty around RM190. Well, as expected.....

Fred Perry x Made Thought 544 panelled polo-T. An interesting detail to note is it comes in a horizontal plastic packaging rather than the usual vertical plastic bag. This is to protect the '544' across the back of the polo-T.

Counterfeit is getting better and better nowadays. Fred Perry is having sales now at 40% for VIP members at all their outlets. That is like RM260 after discount. I won’t want to gamble just to save RM60.

I received a message from my trusted Sales Advisor that Fred Perry Malaysia was having sales a couple of weeks ago and managed to procure a couple of items during my rush visit to Pavilion KL:
