I am trying out U Mobile's UMI18 which is prepaid. RM18 a month for 250Mb of Data after which it'll be throttled. Usage is unlimited tough. And it comes with free 25 mins talk time and 25 free sms, both to any mobile telco.

It's the cheapest if you're just using data occasionally.

And if you enable "Data Roaming" in your tablet device. U Mobile will roam from Maxis whenever U mobile does not have data coverage there.
*
Not just that. You can always apply for booster whenever you hit a quota (need to pay RM10 and will lat for 3 days for 1GB).

what a waste of time watching that conference was >_<

Larry page is sad....so he spread sadness by talking about everything except new nexus 7

Don't expect new hardware every single time sir smile.gif

and no, watching that keynote is never a waste if you're are a true Google follower. Android is not everything that is to Google.

i have some connection problem with my N7, it needs to turn off and on the WiFi in order to connect to the internet. like every 5-10 secs.

for example, when i downloading apps from market, it runs 8% then stop, after i off and on again the wifi, it runs another 8% etc.

anyone having similar problem?
*
Did it stop when the screen is off? Do you installed any battery-boost app? Maybe your device is trying to save battery that way.

Funny fix. http://forums.androidcentral.com/google-ne...-wont-turn.html

Press the turn on button, hold your Nexus 7 in portrait, tap on the side screen of the Nexus (sharply).

*boom*

I got into fastboot mode. lol. The screen now seems to turn fine (after meddling with dead screen, pixelated, bzz bzz screen for half hour.

Now the big ass battery icon (charging) come out. Hopefully this fixes everything.

You get for what you paid, even now my nexus 7 slow down and lags for no reason(clear sdcard0 and factory reset it)
*
Well, even for a cheap product, it should last longer then this. I barely have it for a year.

I wanna ask. Heard lots of reviews saying that most people experience lag issues after using Nexus 7 for 1 year. Due to cheap hardware by Asus.

Are you guys experience it?
*
My device is not a year old Android yet [7 months old]. So I cannot vouch much on the validity of the hardware behind the lagging issue.

But I do know that 'Most' of the time, it is due to inexperience Android user way of handling Android operating system. To me the lagging that appear after sometime using it is definitely because of Android. Not the device. Because, those lag can be easily fix with tweaks or apps.

When you keep on downloading apps, a lot of them, running, background service, bla bla, cache folders, etc overtime < this will keep any system slow.

Ah there's a wrong step in this one. Actually you must hold power button and TAP on the left side of your nexus 7 in portrait.

For those Nexus 7 that cannot be turn on (powered on) after their battery died or something.

I am using Ecliptic-Nexus so far with the inbuilt kernel as per below. This rom is absolute beast. The speed is beyond any rom and the only similar rom smoothness I had to this is this one - Illusion [Port]

Ecliptic does include expanded feature (full screen with or without notification/navigation bar)
pie (to be use when you are using expanded mode -perfect)
speedhack animation.
