With this app, it kinda make our Nexus 7 looks Ipad-ish. Can close app or change app with gesture control.

Guys! I just found out an app called GMD Gesture Control. It enables features like closing an app by pinching the screen with four fingers (very iPad-ish)

QUOTE(kopykopy @ Mar 14 2013, 04:35 PM) Dear Guys, My gf owns a Nexus 4 and I owns a Nexus 7. To be honest, I find both to be very very similar, just the lack of a back camera on the Nexus 7. Both offers smooth stock rom, snappy quad core processors.I have used a LG Nexus 4 for 1.5 months and absolutely love it. So I I wanna buy a Nexus 7 32GB Wifi only (I dont know the price but maybe around RM900?). However, i have read some website articles that say Google I/O in May gonna Launch new Nexus 7.7 Articles say Nexus 7.7 will be:- 1. same price as N7; 2. built by LG; 3. with 7.7 inch screen; 4. conflicting articles say will launch 8GB only or 16GB / 32GB. Do you think I should wait another 2 months? I will want 32GB but not 16GB or less. And I want Wifi only. why buy with cellular when can thethering from Handphone data plan? Actually I am not urgently in need of it. just that my children and wife now monopolise my iPad already. And also itchy to have a Google Tablet experience. In fact, Nexus 4's snapdragon processor outscores Nexus 7's tegra 3 processor. For Nexus 7, I would say it can support up to 1 more major update (5.0) For Nexus 7.7, I am quite sure it will be at 5.0 at launch, supporting 1 more major update (6.0). (more future-proof) If your not in a hurry, I advise u to wait for Nexus 7.7. The experience with Nexus 4 and 7 is very similar. Just that the fact that Nexus 7 has a bigger screen and more syok in watching videos and surfing the net. I mean, if u get Nexus 7 now, you will get similar experience with your Nexus 4. The only upside is that the screen size brings more pleasure in watching videos and surfing the net. And gaming more syok. If you can control the itch in ur hand, wait for Nexus 7.7! It will definitely be worth the wait. |

QUOTE(kopykopy @ Mar 17 2013, 06:26 PM) OK Thanks got you on No.3. But factory reset? OMG after spending whole afternoon of downloading apps and personalising my N7C? is there any other way? TQ you can install Titanium Backup 1st, back up all ur apps and store in ur PC. After factory reset, install Titanium Backup and copy back those app from your PC and restore them using Titanium Backup. |

Temperature issue is not a problem for me. Most of the Android device when gaming for a lengthy period experiences high temperature at the back. It is a known issue. Android smartphones and tablets.
Got used to it. |

QUOTE(kahyeec @ Mar 31 2013, 10:43 AM) hmm, now my Play Store cannot open (open and then close immediately) , need to factory reset? I already try clear data, clear cache, uninstall update, log out and log in. still push the play store button and it opens and close in 2 seconds. Oh well... how about restarting your Nexus 7? |

If needed, go to games setup / controls. Select customize gamepad. Assign the action to the buttons. Click Save and exit. That’s all. Has any1 tried this yet? Where to enter games setup? Any1 here using Logitech F710 controller for gaming? QUOTE(SYAMiLLiON @ May 15 2013, 08:49 PM) Judging by rumors, ya, can't call. http://www.gadgetgestures.com/the-nexus-7-...-expect/8345491 But a 5 megapixel primary camera. @@ I wonder if the primary camera means a back camera or the front camera. But a lot of websites states that our Nexus 7 has a 'primary' camera in their spec sheets.
So it is still possible i think that the 5 megapixel camera is a front facing one. Just my 2 cent. XD |

Well, I think it depends on ur usage.
Nexus 7 + higher resolution makes it better for reading + can customize home screen as u like with a lot of widgets in the market - no back camera Ipad Mini + better battery life compared to Nexus 7 + more touch sensitive than Nexus 7 + back camera - no retina display - overpriced - interface is too boring for me (probably coz cant customize much) I don't know why but Apple product battery life is good. My friend owns a Ipad mini and I own a Nexus 7. Comparing both, Ipad mini battery can last longer. And also Ipad's touch screen is more sensitive when comparing my Nexus 7 with my friend's Ipad mini. So the major difference between these 2 is the battery and touch sensitivity only. |

Ya. The ipad mini is slimmer and lighter too. But I'm satisfied with my N7 as the thickness and weight is just right for me.

QUOTE(Candlenie @ Jun 7 2013, 03:03 PM) 7 inch phone is possible if they remove the bezel. bezel takes lots of space. Hmmm...i think u shud go for Ipad Mini. Ipad mini is 7.9 inch. It has thin bezel. Apple counter the problem easily. When u hold the Ipad Mini with ur thumb resting on the screen, ur second touch can still be registered. decided, maybe i should straight go for 10 inch since I already have a similar size + processing power phone. thanks for all the advice bro http://www.phonearena.com/news/iPad-mini-b...-thumbs_id35842 |
