No. Its cellular is just for data. Its not like the galaxy tab where u have a dialler. However, u can call using 3rd party software such as skype.

Anyway. U guys notice the phone.apk files in the system folder? Hope xda developer can find a way to make nexus 7 to dial like normal phone like what they did in US. US version has dialer and can call ur contacts

Any1 has problem sending files from laptop to nexus 7 via bluetooth?
Whenever i on my nexus 7 bluetooth, it will automatically pair with my laptop as media device, then when i click on a file on my laptop send via bluetooth, i click nexus 7, my laptop will try to send the file, after juz a few second, it says request cant be fulfilled something lidat.

My laptop is running on windows 7 btw.

Well, in my opinion, 3G is better, coz who knows in the future maybe you'll get a data plan for it right?
I use my tablet for surfing the net, if no wifi gg. I can use my hp as hotspot though, but my hp battery juice dry up too quick.
Better get a 3G Nexus 7, even if u use it as hotspot also got more battery juice.

If your existing smartphone has a good camera, then u can live with a Nexus 7. You can always snap the photo n bluetooth it to ur Nexus 7.
Nexus 7 is the best in terms of price for performance. Good and solid specs for such price.
Ipad is still an Ipad. The display is simply superb. In my opinion la.
There's pros and cons for both device.
Been using the Nexus 7 for 3 months, loving it everyday.
Only down side is the screen, it is not as pretty as amoled or retina display. But I will still choose my Nexus 7 simply for gaming purpose and future proof (at least for the next update).

Guys. Found a game that is quite new...juz release on January.
Game name is Royal Revolt!...can dl for free in play store..nice to play using our nexus 7.

I'm using mx player. For the volume prob, try using software decoding when watching video. Hardware decoding max volume just 15 but software encoding max volume is 30. It can be set on the upper right when playing the video.

Pricing start from RM79 to RM99. So i guess is within the range. For 3g version, there's 2 microphone. 1 is on top of the microsim slot, 1 is on top of the power button.
The youtube casing review only has the microphone cut out near the microsim slot. no microphone cut out on top of the power button. So I'm guessing the casing is better to be used with wifi version.

99 is a bit exp for me. Looking for a trendy looking 2nd case. Currently using Mocran Posh's casing.

Haha...I don't know about yours but mine has a microphone on top of the power button and mine is 3g version. And reviews of Wifi version don't have the microphone on top of the power button.
Most of the casing is for Wifi version coz don't have microphone cut out on the top of the power button and no cut out for microsim slot on the left.

I've seen this post before. I doubt really can add RAM. -.- Even if really can, when u send the Nexus 7 to warranty, Asus might not accept ur warranty. In my opinion la. Coz it's ur responsibility to open up the hardware and change the things inside, considered void warranty i guess.

1st, install titanium back up on your android smartphone
2nd, back up whatsapp in your android smartphone using titanium backup.
3rd, google whatsapp apk file and transfer it into ur nexus 7
4th, install whatsapp in your nexus 7.
5th, transfer the titanium backup folder from your android smartphone to ur Nexus 7
6th, install titanium back up in ur Nexus 7
7th, restore whatsapp using titanium backup.
Done!

Note: Only works if both your android smartphone and Nexus 7 is rooted.

Google on Sygic. It does not require data connection.
