QUOTE(megahertz @ Mar 7 2013, 12:25 AM) currently im using this. rm80 . nice leather feel and got magnet sensor for wakeup/standby screen when close the lid. i know this one must be famous. but the downside is there is no magnet between case and device. this means that the lid can open easily. so, urs is black?

just finish rooting my N7 3G using WugFresh toolkit, imo the easiest toolkit to use for N7. been reading and trying mskip version, and it confused me. Didn't decide what is the next step yet. custom ROM? hah, dont know which is is good.

QUOTE(yukimonochan @ Mar 9 2013, 03:28 PM) ^ or u can just stick with stock rom, its buttery smooth anyways Thats why i am not using any custom ROM yet. the stock ROM performance is already good, but you know la, using android, cant resist the feeling to customize. maybe i'll check the custom kernel only.

QUOTE(Lim Wee Huat @ Mar 9 2013, 05:22 PM) No offence.. To each its own. Stock is as good as well but most probably, you gonna miss any other great features.. Errr.. For example like.. Charging your phone using your tablet (when in an emergency) Haha, nice feature there. I know someday i will use custom ROM, but for now, after looking at the development thread, there are so much problem, negative feedback for the current available ROM. the trusted one such as PA also had been said not good enough as on other device. will keep searching for the best one. btw, which custom ROM are u using? custom kernel?

QUOTE(Lim Wee Huat @ Mar 9 2013, 05:45 PM) I'm on Rasbeanjelly + M kernel.. Another 20 scripts in int.d for that secret enhancements. I was on AOKP, was a damn big fan, but i later found out its too bulky and its code wasnt written clean (sorry, aokp fans).. i guess that ROM is only for wifi model isn't it? never tried any custom rom or kernel on my N7 3G since i just got it few days ago. been eyeing ParanoidAndroid but then there are so many negative feedback. 3G version didn't have much custom rom yet, a little bit dissapointed.

QUOTE(acbc @ Mar 10 2013, 09:58 AM) Today alone have 5 threads of selling the 7C. Must be something new coming for many people to sell it. I'm thinking of getting the 7C but must find some use for my 7 wifi model. its either they are new to android, see the hype of nexus device, buy 7C and when use it see nothing special so they sell it or they are droidfag that frustated with 7C slow android development.

QUOTE(enCORe @ Mar 10 2013, 01:04 PM) not just rom development quite slow for 3G compare wifi version, it still plague with manufacturing defects, manufacturing defects such as? for now, after using the device for a week, i don't have any problem with the hardware. all is good. i heard alot of complaints about the speaker, so i try to minimize the use of it by using earphone of slow down the volume when on speaker.

QUOTE(ashrufzz @ Mar 17 2013, 11:25 PM) I'm using Nexus 7c with Hotlink SKMM simpack, only RM25 for 1GB (Very cheap woo). The only drawback is everytime I get disconnected from the internet I need to click on the continue link. The good thing about this is at least my bandwitdh quota doesn't get hijacked by some apps running on the background. Another good thing about Maxis Hotlink the top up is done online, no need to use SMS to top up (Stock Nexus 7c can't install any SMS apps based on my experience). Long time wait for people to bring up this. I'm not sure we can use SKMM pack for N7. I dont want to spend RM68 every month just to get internet, so i'm also thinking to use SKMM pack. how is the performce of 3G bro? and have u experience slow connection after 1GB quota finish?

QUOTE(gwong @ Mar 18 2013, 11:40 AM) To be frank RM25 for 1GB is quite expensive as well. I am now using Maxis Postpaid BB for my N7c. It's only RM58 per month for 4+4GB. It's RM68 per month but you get RM10 rebate for 12 months and its not under contract coz I didnt take the wifi capable USB modem. RM58 for 4GB is cheap. But then, most of the time i will use wifi, home, office. I will only use 3G when i'm going out and of course for emergency case. I'm not sure if 1GB of data is enough for me, i think i will need more than that, but when quota is finish, i guess i can always use the 3G but with throttle speed. BTW, thanks for your advice bro. Your 7C what thing you modded ? i also on stock rom + m-kernel.

QUOTE(gwong @ Mar 18 2013, 01:19 PM) Been flashing kernels to test, haven't decide to stick to which one yet. how is m-kernel performing? okay? Tried franco and motley kernel before, got some minor problem. Then decide to go with m-kernel, so far so good, the best i had tried. you could tell by the feedback and how fast that thread is growing in xda. today new build is out, downloading.
