Nexus 7 16GB user reporting in

Mine is the first generation

Just got it today! 99.99% new and almost one whole year warranty left for a very good price

PM me. 99.99% "new", got it from an owner who used it for 3 weeks only haha. Comes with RM68 case and screen protector and of course 11months++ warranty.

Btw, nexus 7 screen is greenish and not that colour saturated when compared to my perfectly colour calibrated Dell IPS monitor

Managed to root. Straight away installed GMD Hide softkeys to get rid of the three bottom virtual keys which are eating away the 7" screen estate

Yeah, it's pretty good. You guys tried it already? I feel it really makes the experience using the tablet much better due to maximising the usable screen size

What sort of kernel are you guys using? Need something that will OC during usage and UC when on standby. A link would be good too

I'm pretty sure there is no difference. In terms of warranty too as you can claim warranty here for US sets.

For my average use (mostly browsing, some downloading apps, youtubing, a bit of gaming) it should be similar to yours.

RM860 for 16GB Wifi from Dark Devon or RM899 16GB Wifi from Newegg Msia, 32GB goes for RM999 from both sellers...

That is for preorder, for ready stock should be RM999 for 16GB Wifi from SatuGadget/Direct if not mistaken

Screen in need of replacement due to personal usage is definitely not covered in the warranty, same goes to mobile phones. However, if you can prove that it broke due to a manufacturing defect (ASUS' fault), then be my guest

Anyway, IMHO RM430 is not worth to repair your device unless it is the 3G version. Better to get a new 1st generation Nexus 7 for RM699 [16GB] or straight get the Nexus 7 2nd generation 16GB for RM860

Decision is yours whether to pay RM400 to repair it or to pay RM699 for a brand new unit or to pay RM860 for a 2nd generation unit
