mangrove tour is usually more expensive than island hopping
whereby mangrove tour will go to the bat cave which normal island hopping does not provide
not too sure though.. haven join any mangrove tour b4

but pulau payar isn't really worth the money and time sweat.gif

If money is not your problem, try :-

1) Barn Thai
2) Bonton Restaurant
3) Coco Seafood restaurant.

BTW, all the island hopping, mangrove tour, Dayang Bunting Island/eagle feeding, Pulau Payar & Mangrove tour depart from diff jetties!!

1) Dayang Bunting lake/Eagle feeding (~RM40/pax) - depart from Kuah main jetty
2) Pulau Payar (~RM100-RM200/pax) - depart from Kuah Jetty
3) Mangrove tour (~RM180/boat of 6 - not sure) depart from 2 locations - 1st - behind Perdana gallery 2nd Tg Rhu beach
4) Western Island hopping (Bras Basah/Singa & etc - ~RM40/pax) - also 2 locations - 1st Jetty near TM resort at Awana, 2nd - Near Lanai Resort pantai Tengah.

OMG siau yi u're here !! tongue.gif tongue.gif
well basically it really depends on ur budget
there's few well known beaches around
the cheapest would be pantai cenang area ( as the dirtiest as it's a public beach) - less than rm150 per room per nite ( can accomodate a maximum of 4 ppl squeezing)
the langkasuka also has a beach but the water condition isn't much better - around rm150 which can accomodate 8 nicely, 4 on bed, 4 on floor

those better beaches are normally further from town and much more expensive
e.g. holiday villa, datai etc (from 300 to 2k, varies depend on location and room classes)
