I own a Elantra 1.8. Quite surprised to look at my fuel consumption. In city it's between 12.5 to 13.5 per 100 Kms...Highway it's around 9 to 11. Quite disappointing as my friend's Civic just burns 9 lts in the city and around 7 on the highway... 

Pls share your experiences.

Hello guys , im getting my Elantra 1.8 next week. I want to know how is the quality of the sound system and How many speaker does the car have? Thanks

I think tak tak tak sound come from some there sensor la. If u notice u turn on the light,  off engine and open the door, u hear a robotic whirling sound. That is timer 30 secs countdown started for the auto light. Just can't figure out the 3 tak sound is to countdown what..
As for the rear skipping when cornering and hit a hole, fb owner already found solution. Install a rubber a the spring to absorb the bouncing. Each rubber costs rm50.
as for the shift lock sound, as I said it's normal to me even in other car brands. I just lived with it. If not I can always ask sc disable the shift lock b4. They asked me once I said no

The vent in front of the windshield should be free of leaves. Now let's move under the dash the evaporator gets moist as it cools the car and when you turn off the car and park everything heats up and whatever is in the a/c smells. Mild detergent bleach shot into the vents helps but unless you clean the evaporator out the start up a/c smell will be there. Some times you can pull the blower motor under the dash and spray solution of bakeing soda bleach and detergent thru the evaporator. it will drain out the ac drain and drip on the ground but that might plug the drain so if when your done if the a/c does not drip on the ground you clogged the drain. It is best have a technician remove the Evaportator coil and high pressure wash and put back in.

Odometer is around 5500km. In 2 weeks will do the 2nd service.
Other things worth mentioning:
1) The annoying noise during hard-braking. During the 1st service, the service guy did some servicing (leveling) with the brake pads, but it won't go away. Any suggestion?
2) Like everyone says, cornering while hitting potholes is a bane. Any suggestion?

Other than that, I am happy with my silver mamasita.

1) if i go with 1.6 high specs, what is the hire purchase interests rate like?

i plan to down 10% and go for 7 years. If 9 years, the interest rate the same?

2) i seen many ppl complain elantra 1.6 under power.

I am not the racer type, normally drive 110 and sometimes 120 to overtake cars. Almost i feel underpower is when i want to go up hill, or slope. My current car can't handle well. Can elantra do well?

3) I think the current elantra has no auto side mirror? so i have to use hand to manually close myself?

4) Lastly, is there any aircon at the back seats? cerato 1.6 has aircon behind.

No.. Elantra provide same size tyre. Unlike proton that provide you with a motorcycle tyre.
Hyundai car is not uncommon car anymore. Otherwise you can always go back to SC, they will have all the parts you need..

Not changer. The hud  even come with tyre pressure detector and back LCD control. But all those accessories u have to add in from accessories shop.

brand ultra n h&r which one good ah.
can i know the size of the bar for comfort n nice setup from all sifu sifu or not.
