QUOTE(MunDsuM @ Mar 13 2013, 01:06 AM) Hi guys, I have a concern that I'd like opinions on. How is the comfort level of your elantras after so long? does ur sterling vibrate as well? if yes, then most probably is due to ur dented rimI'm not sure if it just started recently but I feel that the ride is not as comfy as it was when i first got my car. When cruising on the highway I would feel vibrations through my seat. Is there a chance that there are some issues with my suspension/absorber/tyres? I was considering changing my rims after it got dented when I ran into a massive pothole, but held back due to the fact that it was still fairly new. And I would like to minimize the vibrations when on the road if possible. Any suggestions on that? |

The Tall 6 foot + uncle keep pushing me to book until I told him off "Back off! You are too Hard Sell, I hate it". He never say sorry & just walk away! My SOP, Meet customer 1st time & if got his/her no will give them 3 days cooling off period b4 follow up 1 time! 2nd time SMS/ Whatsapp (6th day), I only give up when he/she tell me direct they bought another car or not interested! QUOTE(kevin7iew @ May 11 2013, 11:43 PM) hey guys, I'm deciding 2 cars at the moment. One is Mazda 3 1.6 and another one is Hyundai Elantra. call this guy ah siang, 012-2312373, i just got my HE 1.6 santo blue, doing the registration now I'm not a car person, so, I'm looking for a reliable car, spacious and good FC. A few questions about Hyundai Elantra: For Hyundai 1.8 Premium, it uses keyless ignition. Does it come with an emergency key just incase the thing fail? Any hyundai promtion, cashback promotion at the moment? How well is the reverse camera operating during dim environment? Are you guys happy with the purchase? Anyone of you switching from japanese car? Thanks |

hi guys, just got my santo blue elantra 2 weeks ago, very happy with the car, only a few things need your opinion b4 i go for first service:
1. when put in reverse gear, if u do not step on the pedal the car wont move, and since i'm still getting used to it, very hard for me to control when reversing especially if the space at the back is limited. is this normal? i find HE1.6 a bit underpower, and i'm a person who doesnt drive fast. 2. rear windscreen blurr during the day. i think its the reflection from the dashboard at the back, any solution for this? already tinted the rear but still the same 3. for services, in the booklet mentioned first service in 2weeks or 1k mileage, if i dont reach 1k but over 2 weeks, are they ok with it? and the subsequent service as well. plan to send to puchong service centre, are they any good? 4. back middle leather seat finishing a bit cacat, can claim? (not that big part, just around 2inches at the edges can see memang like cacat, poor finishing) 5. do u guys tint the headlamp so that it wont turn yellowish over time? cost around RM200 for both though 6. i think this is quite common, sound system is poor. adding tweeter will void warranty? changing the whole set i think will, right? other than that everything seems fine, even alignment & balancing also ok. will post pics of the santo blue with bodykit later |

been driving my 1.6 HS for more than a month now, this is my observation so far:
generally its been good, i like the more luxurious feel when u're inside the car compared to kia forte, preve, rio, city, vios etc(same price range), and we decided to get HE basically bcuz of the design, and i agree the handling can be further improved, its a lil bumpy, but not much complaint from me though. line of sight at rear winscreen is a little to small to me, but still OK. also happy with the fuel consumption of around 500km full tank, mostly city driving. there're a few things i'm not so happy with though, 1. is the paint, i am no expert but coming out from waxing and car wash and i compare my car to others (also new car, like vw etc), HE paint lacks the blinking factor. also, paint job finishing is poor in some parts of the car, i can understand if it is under the hood or places u dont see, but mine is like half done at the bottom of door panel and around it (matt color) 2, finishing of leather seats' leather, and some accessories are left wanting, and you cant claim warranty cuz its too small an issue 3, i'm starting to believe u get what u pay for, remember we used to say proton car is made of milo tin metal? mine got a few dent already on the top and at the door, it might be due to our carelessness but for all i can guess, it might be due to fruits falling from the tree, of which we never park the car under a tree; and when parking, hit by neighbour car when open door, not sure really, but in 2 weeks, 2 dents, and i hardly drive it in that 2 weeks, either i'm too lucky, or that it lacks the quality, i really dont know, just...sad.. 4. sent my car in for 1st service last week, puchong sc next to ioi mall, attitude of staff was good, time management poor, told me 1 hour, ended up 2.5 hours, but still OK, but the car got some scratches after collecting my car *i understand there are a group of hardcore HE fans here, so before u start bashing me, please understand i love my car as much as you do and i'm only talking from my own exp. if you say dont expect too much for the price u're paying, i totally agree with u, and i'm so damn happy to get the exterior and interior design that i wanted so bad, but the quality is not up to expectations. overall i'll still say its a good, comfy family sedan car, as for the lack of quality, i'll have to keep reminding myself that i'm not paying a bomb for a HE. cheers |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Jun 27 2013, 11:23 AM) Firstly congrats on the new car bro. Well as we all say, no car is perfect. yup yup overall a happy owner. heart pain on the dent cuz still so new As long as we are happy with what we paid for and overall it's alright. I won't say the car is the say all around for all owners as we have different type of drivers/owners. For example, you accepted the bumpy issue whereas some owners we had complaint till kingdom come and even compared with continental cars for the price we're paying. We are not blaming them as it's their money and they have their own opinion. As for the small dents and all, i see you are more of a detailing guy is it? We have a few detailing master in here haha~! Cars are meant to have a bit of dent here n there unless u wash your own car, else u can't feel much of the pain. As for the FC, I think a lot of ppl will start being envious of you with your 500KM mileage on city. Remember to join our FB group bro ... plenty of tips and advice from owners talking bout FC, the eco mode on actually doesnt make a diff, just to show u whether u're using too much petrol or saving? cuz when u acc a bit more the eco light will go off, when light footed the eco light is on again the 500km mileage is after 1st service, left 1 bar at 450km but with about 50++ km to go, so i assume its about 500km for full tank. even first 1k mileage i managed to register around 450km full tank, just lighten the foot a bit will do the trick ntg secret, and i do drive above 100 km/h once a while on the FB group, thx for the invitation but i will leave that to my gf as she has been wanting to join and cant wait for TT session, cant wait to show off her santo blue after 6 long mths of waiting. hehe cheers This post has been edited by faujc99: Jun 27 2013, 06:00 PM |

QUOTE(stevenycs @ Jun 29 2013, 10:16 AM) Oh .. If u calculate like that mine can clock 500km min also nah she drives it over weekdays, for me its only weekend car..heheAnyhow for a c segment car the FC is considered good. Yup, our ECO mode is passive instead of active. Just an indication whether your driving at that time is economical or not. So u n your GF both has one HE each? Send in a request n we will process it for u. Let me know if she need assistance registering. Cheers btw about FC, recently pumped ron97, i find ron97 is more fuel consuming, at an additional 40-50% extra cost |

QUOTE(bestsane @ Jul 1 2013, 08:47 AM) Hi guys, yes i have the same issue, everytime hard break, not emergency break, will have that sound, even only me n my gf in the car we had that problem. already mentioned to service centre, will do a check up on our next visit to SC. SC staff got mention if ABS kicks in u'll see ABS light on. any other members have having the same prob?Just got my Elantra 1.6HS 3 weeks ago. Serviced it on last Saturday (1000km service). Yesterday I noticed something. Everytime I hard brake, there's a very loud sound. Not sure where it comes from. And today I noticed that it only happens when there are 2 back passengers in the car, and i doesn't happen when I drive alone. Have you encountered this issue/problem? What is it actually? It's been bugging me! |
