Hi guys. wanna know something bout kastam

I wanna buy 4 figures from Japan hobby shop and the total price is around RM490+. The dimensions are around 30cm x 20cm x 20cm if they stack it properly and the weight is less than 1.5kg. Does it look too big to "attract" custom's attention?
Should I request the seller to underprice the item or label it as "Gift"? Does doing this help anyway to avoid from being held by custom?
Based on your dimension - the weight of the package is going to be 2.5kg.
Shipments always takes the greater of actual weight or volumetric weight.
Usually, its based on luck...if you are 'lucky' Kastam will pick your package...if they think the declared value is correct - then no issue.
If they think the declared amount is too low, they will re-assess and 'assign' a new value to the package and tax you based on the new assess value.
