depends on the pellet size smile.gif

its always good to feed them in the water but its a bit messy, you might consider a good filtration system for long term.

Guys,

I picked up a tortoise which was trying to cross a busy road during the weekend. Since I have no experience with a tortoise before, do I need to give it any special attention? It is currently roaming freely in my garden and takes shelter under a patch of sugarcane.

Thanks in advance. biggrin.gif

Do you have a picture of it ? I guess it might be a Red Eared Slider or Malayan Box Turtle hmm.gif

Hi.. anyone here had any experience of mixing 2 pnts together? I have one now, in my tank and plan to get one more. Will they fight?
*
I would suggest to not mix them as they would fight and bite each other

QUOTE(Relentless @ Mar 27 2017, 01:34 PM)
Hi guys.
My father found 4 inch asian box turtle in drainage filled with disposed engine oil.
I ve risen and brush away the oil using detergent and decided to change water daily.though the oil smell lingers and i could nt do anything about its neck and tail part
Anything else i missed and should do?

QUOTE(ghostcommand @ Mar 31 2017, 10:21 PM)
Recently, I found a Red-Eared slider turtle in my garden. I live in Kota Damansara, PJ - this place used to be part of the Sungai Buloh reserve and recently my neighbour found a cobra in his house also.

Thing is, I don't know what to do with the turtle at the moment. I suspect it is someone else's pet but no one has come to claim it. I'm not in a position to look after it long-term and would be happy if someone could find this turtle a new home... It is medium sized, about 20cm long/15cm wide.

Currently, the turtle is in a big basin and I feed it some vegetables like lettuce and bought some turtle pellets for it. Any help on finding this turtle a new home would be appreciated smile.gif

You put it up for adoption here --> https://forum.lowyat.net/topic/3185307

That explains it then lol sweat.gif

QUOTE(ghostcommand @ Apr 22 2017, 06:54 PM)
Did you guys know that RES is considered an invasive species and therefore banned in most countries? In Malaysia it is also on the prohibited animals list, so no one can buy/sell this species.

Managed to find a good home for the RES I found, so I'm satisfied.

All foreign species are considered evasive sweat.gif
