Guys,

I picked up a tortoise which was trying to cross a busy road during the weekend. Since I have no experience with a tortoise before, do I need to give it any special attention? It is currently roaming freely in my garden and takes shelter under a patch of sugarcane.

Been looking for it since I return from work yesterday but have yet to find it. Not sure where is it hiding in the garden. I highly doubt it has actually escape from my house compound.

Finally got a picture of it but I'm having trouble trying to post it over here. Anyway, I have managed to identify it as a turtle from the Cuoragenus. I think it is most likely the Southeast Asian Box Turtle (Cuora amboinensis kamaroma)

Will an enclosed area under a mango tree be sufficient enough as a natural habitat for a box turtle?
