nope.... save your money for the future.. buy a house or something... you need to pay about 300-400 for servicing every 2-3 months... you need to pay 2000+ for insurance per year = about 200 per month....
you need to change your tyres every 2 yrs... about 1500... so about 100 amonth...
then you need to wash car etc... so end up maybe 50 a month...
add up, u needa bout 400 Per month for maintenance... so your pay... cannot afford the car
*
It's not wise to use 43% of ur monthly salary to pay car instalment. And yup, u havent include other expenses for the car - maintenance, car wash, bodykit, insurance, etc. U should probably go for cars lower than RM100k. As gunplakk said, since you are young, it is better to buy house (asset) rather than a car (liability) which is depreciating.

I know, the Z is so hot n sexy but u need to be careful on ur budget. U might get the car now, enjoy the glamour but later u might struggle hard to buy a house. Better plan for ur future with sufficient savings.

Not all SC will stock the filters readily, thus I am not surprised it needs to be ordered. I had the same problem with the original charcoal filter, thus I insisted them to replace with warranty, with the same charcoal filter. They re-ordered for me from Japan, and replaced it, but naturally, it took 2 weeks for the filter to come.

Thanks for the advice Bro, The SC itself called me up yesterday BEFORE I could call up and ask. They said the stock for the paper filter had arrived. I could send it back there now to change the air filter and also reseal the Windscreen due to the squeeking sound at high speed. They said it will take about 1 or 2 days as it needs to dry after resealing the windscreen. Is this true? They said if I can't wait , I could take the car on that day itself but I have to bare the risk of the windscreen not being properly sealed since the glue had is not dried yet

Chinese say : "In the forest, there is more than one tree".... biggrin.gif
Walk away from that gal, and go find someone more worth your time and effort. My "GF" went with me thru thick and thin, and I tackled her using a kapchai only.... she is now my wife.

On a serious note, when I was earning RM3k salary, i only had a kapchai (first Modenas), and only could get a Proton Wira 1.3 manual when my salary was bumped up to RM5k. Naturally I had more liabilities as compared to yourself, and cars were tools back then, not fashion accessories. It took some time for me to be financially stable (like 10 years), which then I decide to enjoy some fruits of my labour, which I end up with a CRZ (with wife's approval of course).

Have some patience, sometimes good things comes to those who wait... good luck!
P/s: you can ignore me if you think I m giving you a grandpa advise tongue.gif I sometimes do that...

One thing to note, paper filter is different from charcoal filter ya tongue.gif Original came with charcoal filter, but i guess that's where the smell comes from, thus paper filter should eliminate the smell.
As for the windscreen, I suggest you let the glue set before taking the car. I had my windscreen replaced before (in my other workhorse, not the CRZ), and was not allowed to take the car away (the ah pek say he will whack me on the head with a spannar if I do that), thus had to leave the car there overnight. You may displace the windscreen if too much juddering happens while you drive.
Good luck, and let us know how does the paper filter work ya!

Work hard.... 31, driving swift not to say very successful. I was driving a kancil until I was 30. Then they launched the FD2... i bought that. but by then... I have paid off my 1st house and bought my 2nd.
and while i was driving a kancil... i still had gfs tongue.gif.
Then when my FD got a little old, i changed it to a Z. but buying a Z, I expect to keep it for very long time, it wont have 2nd hand value. unlike FD2.

Good idea, Ada GAYA meh, the next 9 years, eat Maggi mee, don't buy any clothes, stay in the office use the office toilet to save water and electric bills. Try to get free breakfast/lunch/dinner from your boss/colleagues. Don't go for holidays unless it's free. :jthumbs:
