I also curious why the clearcoat in the beginning since it's more of a finishing coat than a base coat. Any further articles on that?

QUOTE(Fubar20 @ Jan 28 2013, 11:11 PM) QUOTE(dares @ Jan 28 2013, 11:15 PM) Dun be so sure, si r3apers ni drive offroad like a bawse sampai dent his subframe, whatever clearcoat it had on that part is already damaged if not non-existent haha... actually clear coat is do after the preimer filler.. but i tak jumpa tu priemer filler... so direct do clear coat lo...I also curious why the clearcoat in the beginning since it's more of a finishing coat than a base coat. Any further articles on that? btw i learn from youtube, which few ppl recommend to do filler thn clear coat 1st (in between got sanding procedure).. so it look more glossy later u finish the paint and do clear coat again... |

Plan to use hammer :notsure: kenjilew Gimme time r3apers Matt black is consider SOLID paint category. Applying clearcoat BEFORE matt black wld mean easy to chip off when hitting sand stone, unless u use corse ground sanding before applying matt black. Let's just say the matt black bond very well with your clear coat, does not mean the clear coat wouldn't fall off. Korek way to effectively apply mat black is, wet sand the original surface thoroughly, make sure its very clean. Apply SEVERAL thin layer of matt black to ensure its thick enough & bond well.otherwise a month or 2 later u will be squating down patching white dots with marker pen liao |
