oh shit. Dude I think you hold the record for the number of deaths within this week.

At the moment, the desync issues is preventing some of us (like me and rei) from playing together with everyone else. Some can play just fine. No actual fix for the desync yet, though I'm starting to suspect it may be at the client's end. Since it only affect some people like myself, it could be my firewall or anti-virus etc. However, I only experience this when I play with a group, solo is ok.

In terms of lag as in high ping or server too far, don't worry as there re plenty of servers in Singapore so for us, ping is not an issue.

Another thing, this game takes time to gear up. Which makes dying in game quite painful if you've already geared up because you need to start over. But over time, as you die more often, you will learn to gear up faster and more efficiently. Having and playing with friends also helps a lot.

It's definitely not Counter Strike or Battlefield. It is still in Alpha stage, so server wipes, bugs, glitches are very normal. So beware of this issue and remember, you are actually paying to become a tester. If you don't want a buggy game, don't buy it.

Blew up a gas station just now. Shot around 3 magazines of M4.

Was reading all night yesterday about the fixes. So far a person has confirmed that this only happens in servers where BattleEye anti-cheat is onine. According to the fella, non-BE servers do not suffer this de-sync issue. I think most possible this one, as we were more or less playing fine together before the patch where BE went online.

However, it doesn't explain why some people suffer de-sync and some don't, only reason I can think of is that our PCs (the affected) surely have something in common, like maybe a kind of anti-virus, firewall etc. Another solution suggested in Reddit was turning off the Anti-Virus. This one I never tried yet. Some even suggested punching the air as it helps them.

Solutions I have seen suggested in various forums;

In-game:

Removed all Ruined condition items in your inventory and change to another server and try playing.
Remove all 60 round stacks of ammunition from inventory and change servers.
Do not use more than 1 container in backpack, includes medkit, ammo box, clothes etc.
Do not stack container within a container and change server. Like an ammo box in your bag.
Kill oneself and change server.
Punch air, wall, tree when you are desync.

Out of game:

Re-install Windows and DayZ
Verify DayZ files
Re-install Battle-Eye manually
Turn off Anti virus
Turn off Firewall

Sorry, Dayz and Rust not for under 18. Go study first. Hehe

But to be honest, you aren't missing anything ler, DayZ will get better by end of year when it enters Beta stage. Still a lot of stuff needs to be done and added to ensure smooth and eventful gaming. So you can still play once your SPM over, still pay same price and skip all the problems Alpha testers are facing now.

Yalor, dunno when we can team up again. But I think we need some kind of identification. hard to differentiate who is who when a team is facing enemies.
