hi guys, i am considering a new phone. in my mind is Nexus 4, Huawei D2 and the list goes on

so i need your help whether this phone suits my criteria

criteria;
1) superb battery life. can runs facebook, google+, 4 emails, dropbox, bla bla bla on sync for a whole day perhaps?
sometimes manufacturer put in BIIG battery but the rom is poorly build so it still sucks battery.
i believe you guys have more knowledge in this. i need your help

2) Good camera. I love my razr camera, love the iphone camera, love the one X camera. hate the lg optimus 2x camera, hate the galaxy nexus camera, hate the SGS 2 camera

3) stable ROM. i have been using htc phone, lg phone, note 2, so far if not buggy, force close, they tend to eat ram and battery. so i would like to avoid these phones.

phew! please guys, i request for your help. your experience using this phone is precious

My battery test with stock ROM, stock kernel, rooted and unlocked: casual usage with some downloading of apps, trying out games for short period <10min, and mostly surfing, chatting and idling with 3G enabled.

I don't know how good or terrible the battery life is for such usage, but one thing for sure is that it lasted longer than my desire HD with similar usage pattern. Maybe custom ROM & kernels could further increase its life

Something weird happen to my Nexus 4 clock. It suddenly not showing the right time.any idea y ?

If you're expecting good camera from this, well it's gonna be a bit of disappointment.

Oh, just change at

Settings> System>Date and Time>Untick automatic time zone > select time zone > set to +8 Kuala Lumpur

then click back, it should be change already

Camera, I'd say it's below my expectation in comparison with DHD. But still good enough since I don't take much photos.

i ask my friend who study in US to buy Nexus 4.
If he shipping to Malaysia , must pay tax eh ?

can mark as gift to avoid tax.
i've asked my friend in usa to do it too but after calculating the cost of it, it might not worth it so much.

price of phone = usd 349
google charge shipping cost ~usd 40
ship internationally via usps priority flat rate = usd 60  (6-10days)

you end up paying about usd 449, which is about myr 1382.
with skmm + 1mth contract + termination fee = myr 1467

Sure it is rm75 cheaper but then i have to make sure my usa set do not get broken. otherwise, warranty issue might arise as i heard lg does not have international warranty. i might be wrong (gladly) and change my mind too. afterall, i do have a friend in usa who can ship to me.

Digi just reduced the price for the Nexus 4 with a promo package. I think they are waging war with Maxis and banking on Nexus 4.
