QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Mar 19 2013, 11:34 AM) Yup we know that and i agree. But some fellows really ruin the car by putting on really ugly rims just to look different. I saw a 408 on the road last week with really crap cheapo looking rims and spoiler (hope not a LYN member). I mean why bother buying a conti if u wanna give it a Ah Beng look? Im really against ppl who dont appreciate their car and ruin its image and design direction simply to look 'different' from others. Some even start putting all these HID lights where it doesnt belong. I saw many Conti Car on road especially BMW changed their sport rim...K5??? it was taxi car in spore... A Conti is a conti and u can really differentiate the design direction compared to Japs/Koreans. Its got this mature yet exclusive look so why ruin that look? Ppl just gotta know the difference between making something look 'better' and making it look 'different'. Being different doesnt always mean better and it usually isnt. Same with some of the K5 on the road. The rims are already good enough and it enhances the car's overall image but then u have some goons who put on cheapo looking rims and there goes the whole sleek image. Sorry. Just ranting out of frustration. This post has been edited by danishfx: Mar 20 2013, 10:10 AM |

QUOTE(jessyeo @ Mar 19 2013, 08:35 PM) Mr.KnowItAll, agreed on your statement!!!..sometimes people forget..human have their own interest...we live in Democracy Country...people can do what they 1..the way he talk like babarian people.... General personal opinion just keep to it yourself. We dont need you to tell us how we wanna spend our money. Comment as you see it fit doesnt work here or you might need some help, lead you to K5 thread? There must be a reason why thin spokes created and I change to thin spokes. Stop judging by appearance. Ah Beng? cheapo conti? I never bother how other car looks like. Only the driver characteristic should be in concern. You should learn this too. And dont simply quote other ppl's comment. Not many ppl care what you wrote anyway. |

QUOTE(cybermaster98 @ Mar 20 2013, 12:14 PM) Yes it is your money and u have the right to do with it as u please. But in that same way, it is my thought and as long as its related to the discussion i will post as i see fit. Neither you or anyone else has the right to claim otherwise. You have another choice as well which is to hit the ignore button or cease responding to my posts as what you claimed you would do sometime back which somehow u have a problem keeping to. I wonder why. bro...can show me your car picture huh?? i wanna see how experience u have on car section... And who's comment did i quote? I thought it was my comment and my opinion? And if u do not care about what i post, how come ure responding? U really gotta add weight to your own claims and stick to your own statements la. No point saying something and doing something else. Anyway, my posts are for those who do care and do understand. Kiddos like u with very limited knowledge about cars could learn a bit from me or many of the more experienced experts in LYN (there are some in this thread as well). Im just a small fish compared to them but that aint gonna stop me from posting my opinions. If you think my opinions are incorrect, then kindly prove me wrong in a mature manner. But sadly, that seems to be a problem for you i see. |

QUOTE(blinky @ Mar 20 2013, 12:19 PM) What's ugly to you might not be ugly to others. What is "Ah Beng" to you might not be "Ah Beng" to others. You might think that Kate Beckinsale is nothing but a cheap skank, but for me she's like the hottest chick around. i dont care what people want to say..for me...Stock Car is Ah Beng car...even Ferrari..thats why they Come Out with limited Edition...to distinguish that the owner of ferrari is not ah beng type.. That's like me generalising that the K5 is an Ah Beng car which tries to be premium when it's really not. Different strokes for different folks lah, as the saying goes. QUOTE(x800 @ Mar 20 2013, 02:24 PM) LOL havent ordered yet bro..as waiting good deal on shipping fees..would like to purchase 4x108 18x8jj wheel with offset 42-45mm to load 235/18/40 series tyre..My post is clearly spam if I just end it here Anyway, our current rims for 408t is 17x7.5j +32 offset. Getting a 17x8jj with +25 or +18 offset might be good enough to make the wheel nearly flushed with the fender, but need to check on clearance with the fender itself. Danishfx, whats the size of the rims u ordered from the uk? |

QUOTE(EnergyAnalyst @ Mar 25 2013, 12:03 PM) The peneration made is size of a thumb , thru both inside and out and beyond repair shown by the tyre shop i went to , tried patching last nite but not succesful. He quoted me RM510 for new one. I wanted a second opinion hmm like that huh bro? how about..use your spare tyre as a replacement since our spare tyre is the same rim and tyre....then the faulty 1 u replace with Second hand Tyre...btw..spare tyre just for temporary use rite? so use a second hand tyre should be ok.. |
