Idk about if the 2.0 has different HU, but if urs is the thp, press the music button repeatedly to cycle to different settings. It cycles between musical ambience-bass-treble-loudness correction-front rear balance-left right balance-auto volume-back to musical ambience.

Bass n treble is available only if u have the musical ambience set to none.

The one u're looking for might be the auto volume. Just disable it
*
X800, got it. Thanks a lot for all your help. How did you find out that pressing the music button repeatedly produces different options?

Hi, my 408T fuel cap is difficult to open. I had to press the button at the dashboard like 30-50 times, before it finally pops open. Sometimes with a bit of manual peeling while i get someone to press the release button.

Anyone has this problem?

thanks.

I just made booking for 408 this morning. wondering how much it cost to install GPS/ DVD player by Peugeot? Is it advisable? smile.gif

I bought my 408T last month, SAs as 2 different branches said I could get OEM Peugeot GPS with rear camera for RM3k from panel. After I got the car, I was told by panel it would cost RM5k+. So, I didnt get the GPS/LCD.

Thanks for the feedback. Power specs wise, FF is definitely much lower than 408T. I guess the selling point could be the auto park assist and brake assist, grille auto opening? One day I will at least get into the cabin to get the feel.

I also haven't found much discussion on the Peugeot 308 Griffe/GTI, from the website seems like price is higher than 408T. Why? I can't find the full engine specs either.

I'm considering to replace my second car, preferably compact, but must best negotiate corners.

Hello everyone. Hope all is well and doing dandy good. Need your feedback for all 408T drivers, at high speed around 150 - 180kmh (if any), any of you guys or gals, experience steering wheel jitters? On PLUS  or ELITE or KESAS highway, perhaps.

Or your drive was smooth, the steering was hunkered down/ heavy.
*
my steering jitters at 130km/h. probably i have to pay for alignment/balancing at 2500km service.

Need not wait for your next service. And not all SC have the facilities to do this. Can just send to any tyre workshop for this. Cost around Rm80
*
thanks for the info, especially on the cost. My contention is that usually other workshops will try to sell their own adjustment bolts for alignment and that might void warranty?

anyway i have made appointment with Glenmarie next Friday, I will find out how much they charge me.

regarding the brake, until now (almost 1 year) it still make the squeaky sound when reverse and braking, is that normal?
*
i used to drive a sentra, towards the end before i sold it off, i had the same problem. The problem started when i changed my brake pads. Whole neighbourhood could hear the sound every morning when i reverse from my porch.

somehow the workshop skimmed my disc as well. Then they said the skimming was not smooth, so skimmed again, then another week, skimmed again, then finally change the disc.. Sentra disc was cheap, so it was ok.

I just rolled out from Glenmarie SC for 2500km inspection. Started 0830 ended 1500.

I complained steering not jitter at high speed, so they did alignment, costing RM65. Tested at 140km/hr, no more jitter.

Fuel cap cannot open - they returned it to me not fixed, lucky I tested and asked them to look at it again. One guy came out to car park, push push, squeeze squeeze, now working, hopefully forever.

4 tyres lose 20kpa each week each tyre - checked and reported no problem. Not sure how they check though. I guess I have to live with it. SA suggested i send to tyre shops.

Water spray not working - tested ok now.

There's one item in the bill attached - P001 - QTY 1.200 - Unit H - Unit Price RM70 - it's not charged though. I forgot to ask what this was, any ideas?

Two times sent my 408T to Glenmarie but they still haven't fixed my 2 problems:
- Tyres lose pressure 20kpa/week
- alignment : veering left

Any external shops to recommend in kl or pj or subang?

Thx

Guys,

Will changing and using third party batteries void warranty for other parts of the car, e.g. lamps, circuit boards, etc.?

my SA told me that there were cases where tinting voids warranty...somehow after tinting, door panel was not screwed back properly and rain water leaked into the box (ECU?) in glove compartment.

Stay away from the 4spd 308T. 6spd 308T and Griffe share the same updated engine. ECU was retuned on these which solved 95% of the problems. Griffe really looks good. Good luck bro!

Btw,post some photos of your new babe if you get it!
*
So the new 308t or griffe is just like 408T, not much problems?

I'm targeting early next year, see if there is any promotions for CNY. Currently the promotion is like 10k discount for deepavali but I m traveling end nov, so wait for next year.

I saw the new 308 2014 on paultan but don't like Aircond controls in LCD.

Thanks.

When I was driving with USB drive plugged in and playing songs, there was a voice announcement that battery was weak and subsequently USB doesn't work anymore. When I restarted the engine, USB works again.

How do I know if the battery is due to change? There is no error messages at all. My mileage is only 3500km. 408T.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks.

Unfortunately there is no week battery message. The USB not working is one of the poor battery symptoms. In order to reduce battery discharge the ECU starts shedding non essential loads. Once in this low battery situation there will be other stuff that will not function. The idea is to conserve battery consumption as long as possible. However it will completely discharge very soon.  You can have the battery tested at the SC,I'm sure it will indicate low battery condition. You should change the battery as soon as possible,IMO immediately!

Thanks for the advise. Unfortunately it's Sunday today, I can only try to make appointment tomorrow and tuesday is a holiday, i suppose SCs are closed. Do I need appointment to replace battery at SCs?

I am at Glenmarie SC since 0915, now still waiting, they have put me in the so called emergency queue....so much for emergency.....luckily there's a room and WiFi where I can work.

Update: 1150 now, they came to tell me that my battery is weak and I am entitled for warranty claim. ETA another 30 min....we shall see.

Update: 13:10....finally car is ready! 4 hours wait!

Update: Attached bill. FOLLSILVER? is this good?

Question: If I have my iPOD permanently plugged into the USB port, even when engine is off, will this drain the car battery? Otherwise, this might be a good indicator for low battery as it triggered a voice prompt in my case.

Thanks.

This is my turn to report the bad performance of the Yokohama battery in my 408T. Drove for almost 14000km in 6 months, finally battery kong at 12:30pm.

Called to Peugeot Careline and they sent a technician to come for a replacement. He reached 1:45pm and settled by 2:00pm. The most important, today is holiday but still they came to do it.

The replacement is Delkor and hopefully it can last longer.

I Didn't know that you can call them to fix it at your place? I called Peugeot assist and they asked me to call the SC first to see if they have slot for me, then went to SC for half a day!

Anyone knows how to auto lock doors for 408T when starting to drive, e.g. Upon certain speed? Thanks in advance.
