QUOTE(x800 @ Apr 16 2013, 12:53 PM) Need to look, not all accesories can do it coz need to order and send to factory/workshop to press. Yup. Its pressed aluminium. I think. Some bought from overseas which I worried may lost parcel n for sure may damage during transportation. I know one place which also do it, quick-save auto boutique. Checkout their facebook, they do rims n tyres, a lil bit accessories, also do a lot of contis especially veedubs. Havent been there myself tho, in usj if im not mistaken Owh. Quick-save auto botique. Thanks for that info. May visit there. |

QUOTE(robinyan @ Apr 21 2013, 11:09 AM) But isn't all the above especially on item #1 can be done at blue box itself? What do the technician advise you to do it outside instead? *Confused* Don't waste ur money for balancing n alignment at SC. They will charge u about rm90-100. But. If I'm not mistaken, during 2500km inspection u can get it FOC. |

QUOTE(SKYjack @ May 22 2013, 09:36 AM) Well done broRON408 and tks for sharing this info. No prob. Its a good info.I have always been skeptical about the claimed performance without a turbocharger upgrade. Injecting more fuel alone does not cut. Higher density air too is needed. Charged air comes from the turbocharger! Your input answers my queries. I know the unit is not an empty box of wires. It does contain software to interact with the ECU. A remapped ECU does spike the bhp, but no serious performance! There are a few 308t guys selling off their units, obviously not happy with the performance. Another point ppl must remember, the additional power is not free. More power means more FC and that is clearly stated in that article. To be frank, our Lion does get thirsty if one is not careful! Thousand of queries came into my mind too. Hehehe. Those box will remap the ECU which for sure be recorded into the log. Thus will tear off our warranty. Agree with you. Will comsume more fuel to meet the instructions given from the ECU. Cheers bro! This post has been edited by RON408: May 22 2013, 11:06 PM |

This is an article regarding those re-mapping or Piggyback.
I'm interested with the last sentence." De pollution error". It's very popular in our pug arena. Be careful man...... Bigger turbo unit for bigger satisfaction. (So much discussions and friendly arguments found in auto forums on the subject already. For me, I would advice to choose the former because... amongst others ECU remap disables speed limiter and increase rev limit, piggy-backs don't. Simple.Technically, I don't see how these add-on "chips" can be as good as a remap. As far as I know some piggyback [if not all] just fool the injectors into over-fueling the engine. Might increase performance, but can't be good for the engine in a long run - i.e they are at the cost of high emissions, higher engine temperatures, and general abuse of the engine. This may result in poor running, black smoke emitting from the exhaust, clogged injectors, rough idle, and engine cut-out... and could be one of the reasons for the infamous De-pollution Sensor Fault! ) QUOTE(andypeugeot @ May 22 2013, 10:13 PM) Actually it's possible to increase horsepower by adding piggyback. It really depends on whether its set properly or not. Without increase turbo boost, if u fine tune the fuel supply and manipulate the ignition to higher setting, it will increase the response and gain more power. Normally increase turbo boost and fine tune fuel injection volume will have the most visible increase in horsepower. Any mismatch will cause engine knocking and piston burst. Change to bigger turbo will enable u to set higher boost and better high rpm response. |

QUOTE(andypeugeot @ May 22 2013 11:54 PM) Remap definitely better in term of respond time. But if you are not using it for racing, then should be not much different. Me too. Still hold back any mod.... even its hard. I know that de pollution is quite famous among 308t, that's why I'm still hold back with the mod... Haha... The more u squeeze the engine for more power, the higher the temperature is. That's why need extra care on cooling system and engine oil. I've my experience with my mod Japanese car, but this is the first time I drive the conti car. So, scare to koyak the engine as well 5 yrs a bit long period.. huh. |

Hi guys, How about our 408. Anybody here volunteer to list those things out. http://www.scribd.com/doc/57455745/Peugeot...bo-Part-Pricing I'm sure the price listed not up to date. It may varies from time to time. But at least may use it as a reference (margins). Happy motoring. |

QUOTE(onlokkia @ Nov 1 2013, 10:14 AM) My Car at CSL service Center now, due to temperature sensor faulty. Yesterday night when i start engine, suddenly temperature show to max and red light switch on and ask me to stop car. aircond can't not switch on Hi, it's happened to me last month. Mileage 29k.luckily i saw articles here mention most properly due to sensor problem, is not engine overheat, so i just continue drive it and this morning out of certain, the sensor back to normal. anyhow, still request service center to check it for me bcoz tomorrow going out station. Nothing to worried. Just send ur car to SC. They replaced the sensor, flushing and replaced new coolant. All at no cost. |
