Hey can someone recommend the toughest casing for Note 2?
Something that is durable, tough, and when drop, the phone is as the same condition as before it was drop..
I research a few, but some have even 3 layers of polycarbonate, but end up the phone is as thick as my laptop..
Is Toughguard Case durable?
I want to get a new case since the official case that I bought would have frayed ends in no time..

So they pulled back the update?? That is pretty sad because I really love the ink effect of the latest firmware..
Now I have no ink effect when unlocking my note 2..
Btw I am wondering if you keep on taking the s pen in and out many times would the pen be loose??

I agree that the screen is nice to look at, texts appear to be crisps, saturated colors. But sometimes, some live wallpaper doesn't seem to be as sharp and vivid as opposed to S2. I guess smaller screen yields better sharpness. I saw the iphone 5 screen and I got to say it is super sharp. But then it's not fair, the iphone 5 has such a small screen.
Obviously it will be sharper since it has a higher pixel density. Since density is inversely proportional to volume, a smaller volume of screen, and if we omit one dimension which is the length, the density is now inversely proportional to area which in this case the larger area screen of the note 2 is not as sharp as the iphone5.

I thought Quad core would yield zero lag.
So I played some graphically intense games, and I look very near from the screen.
And what I noticed is that there is still lagging a tiny bit, but still there is when playing games.
Sometimes at the worst one second lag.

Nowonder now Samsung is still not satisfied with the Quad Core.
And now they want to put Octa Core in Note 3 and S4..
I wonder then would the octa core still have microlags.
But don't get me wrong, I would say from S2 to Note 2, the lags decreased substantially.

Have anyone tried using the screen recorder function..
It seems that it is a hype from Samsung Mobile demonstration videos as many people in the world cannot use this function as illustrated in the pictorial below..
I wonder if anyone can use this function..
I really want to use it..
Thanks..

Actually they already launched the first 4k table. Toshiba is the brand..
The pictures are so stunning, but unfortunately the dpi is so low.
It's a 20 inch table as compared to 5.5 on Note 2.
I thought BR Rip is so blur. I don't even feel like watching them.
I always watch at least 720p with DTS surround. But if the show is very good.
For example I downloaded avatar 23Gb with 1080p DTS.
Btw, latest news.
If you can remember I said that Dice player is the best player currently in market.
Well, now it's no more. You cannot play DTS sound using dice player, in fact playing mkv is impossible.
This is because a lawsuit is been filed against dice player and mx player by DTS company.
So now if you want to lya DTS sound, you have to download VLC beta.
Its the best player currently. There are two other ones which can play DTS, they are rock and bs player.
Unfortunately, they both are coppy and laggy.
Just my two cents.
Thanks.

I don't understand something:
I search the web fro some answers and what I found is that Android effectively manages RAM on the phone, meaning that when it is almost full, the phone will kill some apps to free up space automatically without any human intervention. But what I experience is today I played glu mobile game which is DEATH DOME, which is graphically demanding. I thought with a 2Gb RAM, the Note 2's RAM would be sufficient for games. But after 15 minutes in the game, the app shuts down to the home page. So if android claims to handle RAM efficiently, clearly this is not the case. I then downloaded shortcut task manager Note 2 from google play and then I clear memory, and I have more than 1 Gb free RAM. I started the game and I played more than 1 hour without any shutdown of apps. So my question is whether is it a good practice to end apps from task manager, or just let the phone manages the RAM for us?

I know most people dont give that much attention and weightage on benchmark tests..
But this test I did. My score was way above note 2 and slightly lower than optimum g..

I have to agree that the 4.1.2 have a far worse battery life than 4.1.1. But on a side note, it seems to be more buttery smooth, but on the other hand, the main differences is that the Quick Glance now is much snappier, taking about 1 second to react, as opposed to 5 seconds on 4.1.1..

Is it worth it to buy Sun U battery for note 2 which has 3680 mAh capacity..
I just got a feeling that this latest update consumes more battery than the previous firmware..
Btw I concluded that BS player is the best player in the market..
I tested it out with all kibds of movies.. and bs player never failed while others failed miserably..
