Had my first attempt at claying today. biggrin.gif Tried on my headlamps. Really managed to remove the gritty part, but induced some minor scratching that I haven't managed to polish off.

U use what as lubricate? How did u scratch the headlamps? U didn't lipat the clay after some time ah?
*
Got, in fact I look at it not dirty at all I just lipat. I also dunno how I scratch the headlamps, but they are very minor scratches. The even coat applicators I bought don't seem to do well though for polishing the headlamps so mebbe I'll use some microfiber cloth next time.

grumble.gif Sigh, the most basic thing to do when you're being fetched by others in others car is to be cautious when opening or touching the car body. grumble.gif I usually fetch my colleagues about to have lunch with them, and yesterday after I got home I realized that there are three lines induced by fingernails on the boot area where you pull to open the boot up grumble.gif. So far I ask no one has admitted ( lol obviously who would? ). I don't ask for anything more than to be cautious sad.gif.

sad.gif Nothing, just slightly shinier but nothing special. Hand work does not give results as satisfying as machine work cry.gif, but I have to do it either ways to protect the paint.

Anyway:

The "scratches" on the bottom left is actually a reflection of the lantern hung above hmm.gif. But yah still ada swirl marks here and there but from what I can see most of them seems to have disappeared biggrin.gif.

Good for you!

Sadly for my car the gloss coat is almost fading away and some starts to come off exposing the light gold paint, do you happen to know anything that adds another coat of gloss to the paint aside from sending it to the professionals? I'm kinda like a DIY guy here but not for cars at least, learning from you all only.
*
No idea sad.gif. But perhaps you can try spraying the clear coat yourself and then polishing it off with a machine to level it hmm.gif.

Normally should be below 50KM. Less is better. biggrin.gif Check list you can Google for it or take it from the Inspira thread. The checklist for cars should be universal. smile.gif
