Ada chit chit sound means that it's probably time to change the accessory belt. If still ada then probably tensioner problem hmm.gif.

Gong Hei fatt choi. My persona has encounter a problem. When I pumped petrol, i can't fully press petrol nozzle, else it will auto triggered and stop fueling. I have this since earlier. Not sure u guys have the same problem like me. If yes, how do u all solve this?
*
Positioning problem. I face the same problem, and it's usually solved by putting the pump in at an angle. I don't bother with the auto switch anyway cause of that, so I just hold it but not to the max to prevent it from tripping.

Accessory belt? hmm.gif The one that runs the power steering fluid pump, air-cond compressor and et cetera. It's basically the belt you see on the right side of the engine.

Timing belt. Recommended replacement is at every 80000KM. Not sure about the cost but there is a timing belt from a brand called Gates that is about RM180 for the Persona.

thanks. how about accessory belt? whats the price and lifetime?

Forgot the price, but it lasted about 50k KM for me only. You change it when you start hearing the "chit chit" noise from your car.

Silicone.

Changed on Sunday, tested it and it was ok.

Then yesterday the problem came. Only when I put to the fastest, it is smooth.

This morning I tried, not so bad already. Will wait for thunderstorm later (if got) to test again.

Added: and it left a mark on the point where it is maximum up. (left wiper only)
*
My experience with cheap silicon wipers was not good. tongue.gif But they were cheap anyway so I can't comment much.

Hi all,

Im considering on buying PE 1.6 Standard Auto or Saga 1.6 SE CVT or Myvi SE 1.5
My heart currently set at Persona because of bigger car and better looks.
But after reading all the problem Persona faced regarding their engine I had a second thoughtt.
Also  people complaint that the FC is really high.
And what are the real features for Standard version because on Proton's website they still showing the Full Spec version even though they stop selling it.
Please encourage. TQ

Plus points for getting a Persona:
1) Good engine for highway runs
2) Good handling; makes you feel like a pro even if you're a noob whistling.gif
3) Good looks; still pretty good looking even after so long.
4) Etc

So far the car makes me confident enough till sometimes I don't bother pressing the brake at all when turning at a junction, though I do still hover my foot over the pedal just in case. It's just so easily maneuverable hmm.gif.

Hmm but is the works LCP same saiz as OEM? because if lighten only, i don't think there's much difference. hmm.gif

if smaller saiz, then will there be problem?

But for simple better acceleration, I normally off aircon. that compressor is a major power drain.  laugh.gif
*
I heard smaller size will have an effect on the compressors and stuff hmm.gif.

But how much can these LCP lightened??
Smaller saiz.....hmm less power deliver to alternator, aircon... power steering i guess. so maybe not so cold aircon and less battery charge? hmm.gif
*
Not so sure, but what I know is that it's no good hmm.gif.
