I'm from Kuching and I have been frustrated with the torrent P2P speed which is around 30KB/s and lower.

Is there anything that I could do to increase it?

Sometimes it is unfair seeing Unifi user can donwload torrent with full high speed but for the Streamyx 8Mbps user, very terribly slow.

I waited all these years now retiring already,finally 8mbps only NO unifi cos my area not rich men area

sigh..guess gonna stuck with it for another year :|

i've been applying again and again for a basic phone line to my kampung home for 3 years. my deceased grandfather was able to get the line to the same home before.

TM had poles running along soft-soil paddy farming field beside a busy road, and they are afraid some kampung folk would upright a ladder on the soft soil next to a busy road to cut their cable. right.

my dear neighbour, right smack beside, less than 40m away, had his phone line installed 2 years ago. strung from the same telephone pole that would have serviced us the same.

oh yes. it's a technical challenge all right. i cannot get unifi because it's not putrajaya. and i cannot get streamyx not only because TM refuses to add more capacity right smack next to a government research institute, but also because TM refuses to install altogether because "takut orang curi kabel".

Problem with youtube lately. its so slow even 144p struggles to play. it only works great at midnight. morning till night can't use at all. but download movie and playback 1080p vimeo are fine. What is wrong?

How to disable? in PC or access the modem setting? will it affect anything?

heard that there would be new streamyx 15mbps package available in the next few months.

so far anyone chatted with TM CS in regards of free upgrade in 2017 for streamyx users?
told em that I received TQ surprise SMS in Dec'16 and they confirmed eligibility for upgrade, but when asked for further details they being vague and ask to go nearest TM point to try apply free upgrade instead.

Will try do so in weekend but it's highly possible that i will come back with disappointment...

if hypptv or webe or vod, it's like almost no cost for tm to offer. so much for "loyalty" when there is no competition. glad that I took celcom's bait with 40GB Gold Plus.

if only celcom offer unlimited plan....

... i'm sure those top of the cream abusers will migrate to celcom as wellm
