The story begins when 30,000 Japanese gamers are trapped in the fantasy online game world Elder Tale.<

So gamers trapped in MMOs is officially the trend now.

its hard to make the suspense otherwise, as u cant really feel to sympathize a character dying and revived 5 seconds later
so basically for online game, most easiest plot would be:
1) cannot log out
2) died for real(Accel World lack this, thus i cant feel the sympathy of just losing the game character
3) 1 + 2

so unless they can come up with another way to make us sympathize with the character, they had to stick with this formula

definitely enjoy this one more than SAO(anime).
at least the staffs know to put the info about the stats in, while SAO anime staffs just go all Kirito slaying everything without any mechanic explanation from the light novel at all

i dont really like Log horizon, watch till latest episode dy. Feel lack of emotion. You are trap in a video game, but everyone macam chill only? so relax continue enjoy. And all suddenly personality change act ninja, act like knight act like magician.

at least in SAO can see ppl react to it.

thats because they have no admin to give any objective to them. Basically they are trapped with nothing to do. No way out, no grand quest, dying will just be resurrected, food taste bland, and many people like MC already reach level cap.

u try have someone lock u inside a steel cage in the middle of nowhere with no way out at all. Will u still go around kicking the cage with all your might the whole day, knowing nothing will change?

my speculation is, based on how it involves the need for Shiroe to make a guild, wanting to make all the bad guild leave, and lots of money needed maybe its something to do with the guild hall.

cant wait for next chapter

one thing i need the clarification from the LN reader.
cant player just leave their guild, or do they need guild master's permission for that? i mean, cant Shiroe just ask the twin to leave their guild and join Log Horizon? if they do it in the city, no harm can be done to both of them, as the city is PK-free

i think the main reason why the NPC is worried is because the player started to be independent without them. The food can be made(even got taste), even the basic ingredient can be farmed alone right now as the area is safer now. So basically the NPC is afraid that this new changes is less beneficial to them, as the only job left is something like administration in guild hall, which of course the pay is cheap.
just my opinion

Macam bangla la, work hard but got gaji ciput, need to mogok a bit, mintak raise....

I think we should stop calling them NPC ..because the are not NPC anymore ..so call them 'people of the land' or 'landers (official name)'

the npc here should be that mecha like guards ...not the landers

even i know that much, just too lazy to type em all

one thing that has been bugging me for a while now. it seems like the Landers doesn't know how to cook food with taste at first and somehow able to do so now that they know the way.

my question is:
1) what did they eat before?
2) since u need chef subclass for the Adventurer to cook food with taste, how did the Landers managed to create one when they don't even have any subclass to begin with?

1) they eat the same thing adventurer eat on the 1st day of Catastrophe ... the soggy cracker taste ..since they never knew any other taste exists
2) like adventurer some of them do have chef class ...but cannot be as high level as adventurer (highest probably around lv30-40)
*
i know its logical for the Adventurer to try n make food from the menu since they're new there, but since the Landers are there from the beginning(their memory says so anyways) whats the point of making cardboard food when they already know original ingredient has a taste. Not to mention going out of their way to make it looks so good.
i mean im trying to imagine the food before the adventurers come, they all be like:"since we are rich and noble, we get to eat this steak-looking carboard food while the poor only get to eat bread-looking carboard food, so we should be proud of ourselves..."

i think this episode is pretty boring, cant sympathize with any of the character. Not Akatsuki, not any other. Just cant seem to link why the hell do Akatsuki thinks its her damn responsibility everything went jackshit, and seeing Henrietta lecturing her doesn't help either. Seriously, i might drop this if next episode is still like this. It just doesn't deliver as good as season 1

as someone who doesn't read the novel, the feeling i get from this season is that, they are trying to remove all the male characters and turn this into cute girls do cute thing, + fighting sometimes.

on a side note, that preview is a freaking spoiler abuse. Why not just paste the whole episode there?

This... I agree.

New studio focuses more on girls and cute thing. Why every anime must be polluted with moe-ness?
*
im already having a bad feeling when the studio change.
change of studio means change of personnel, so the feeling we expected to get from season 1 will be lost for sure
pacing is crap
timing for bgm is crap
character redesign is crap(dafuq is Crusty looking like a nice Student Council Secretary for?)
battle is crap(only 2 so far from 7 episode)

those who read the LN, mind explaining to me why they have to cut the armor power supply at the last minute, instead of cutting it earlier? since he wont be able to tp or get buff if the armor is cut early, why wait?

Lure him to a place that only 1 v 1 with akatsuki while other teammates can prepare to restrain the BOSS from more than 50m distance? Cut the magic supply early still wont cut his stats boost due to vicinity of other players within 50 metres.

Luring him by exploiting his teleportation to the target area is faster than making him walk slowly in heavy armor?
