Hey guys, I've activated the LTE update with my BIZ line using my iPhone 4S but I have trouble getting my friend's iPhone 5 to recognise the SIM. Though I can use it in my ZTE MF680.

OMG guys, chill. Was not trolling. And I am highly offended you thought I'd use some stupid clone. What I meant was I activated the Maxis 14.1 carrier update on my 4S. Technically, that should enable LTE for my SIM on Maxis' side- then I'd just swap it into an iPhone 5. Voila, LTE. (It didn't work, but that's another story)

To be fair, there is nano to micro SIM adapter.

Focus on the 2 black one

Left is Nano to Mini and right is Micro to Mini ( Mini is normal sim , aka Nokia3310 sim )

I dun trust this kind of adaptor actually, what i do is  ~

I use the Noosy adapter set. Available from Machines for RM15. I had Maxis convert my SIM into a nano-SIM when they were available. So I'd just use it with the nano-to-micro-SIM adapter when I wanted to use the line in my 4S, and with the nano-to-mini-SIM adapter when I wanted to put the line into my ZTE MF680. So I have MAXIMUM compatibility.

Maxis only enables LTE automatically for accounts with iPhones. Hence I did the carrier update. That should flag Maxis to enable my SIM to access LTE network. All I have to do is pop the SIM into an iPhone 5 or LTE compatible device to enoy LTE with my Biz data plan.

As opposed to sanding chips down and using cutters? I'm not above paying for convenience. This way I don't have to do anything- just pop the nano-SIM in and it works.

BTW, something I worked up just now (to explain my SIM-switching):

you'll know it if your speed increase suddenly. i don't think maxis will tell you- you'll just have to check the google map of maxis coverage la
