Jus put a 80mm fan under the hdd..the black part where the motor is..ur hdd will plunge to room temp...u better remove tht sponge..its very bad...tht under part was specifically designed to dissipate heat which explains its uneven bottom painted wif black..a good colour for heat dissipation.

I've seen a lot of case modders mount drives vertical using acrylic...they would bent the acrylic to form a U like stucture..turn it upside down..mount the drive to the side wif screws. The silver top facing towards the acrylic

Spacing it greatly reduces heat...currently i wasn't using front intakes anymore but i put 1 at the top of the rack and the other at the lowest the ide can reach...my hdd runs under 40 degrees
