I had my boy with Dr. Wong Chin Yuan (Sunway Med) in 2007. I chosen Sunway Med due that is the only private hospital that I am able to drive there on my own on Saturday. I reach there before 8am, to be the 1st patient. Chosen Dr. Wong instead of the other well-known gynae due to that 1 queue too long. Waiting can be torturing.

My pregnancy journey quite pleasant, hence not much question posted to him and he did not restrict me on diet, even can do away with milk (no need calcium pills too).
But the only thing I am not happy was, I keep reminding him that I want c-sect if my baby ever exceed 3.5kg, as I don't want to endure the pain or take any risk for not having enough energy. Have been asking him about bb weight on my every visits and even til last few days before delivery, he simply tell me bb still around 3.5kg. My fren said, an experience gynae should know bb weight very well .. estimation shouldn't be too far off.

I was on emergency c-sect due to bb poo inside. And he was 4kg! (Lucky I didn't even need to try normal). My hubby was not allow into the operating theatre due to emergency case. And my total bill comes out to RM7.8K (am staying 4-bedded room for 2 nights, bb stay 4 nights). BB dun have to stay so long but was advise to, as he is G6PD. But nothing happen to him.. just stay in the bb ward for additional days. (This is the paed tricks, nothing to do with my gynae). All that was 8yrs ago when Sunway just started to do their renovation.

If I'm going to have 2nd baby, probably look for other center.. as it will be a big hole to the pocket shall emergency comes again especially in this few years where prices increases, Sunway Med had their reno done so well and GST.

Added to that, I was resting in the labour room waiting for my gynae. That 1hour in labour room playing with their old fashion TV remote ctrl (8yrs ago).. still kena facility charge, even though finally I was wheel to the operating theatre for c-sect. And of coz, operating room charge also.

Just be caution and do spare 50% on what you estimated (as emergency). On top of the c-sect, I kena charge OT (after 5pm) + Emergency charge for 3 specialist (gynae, paed and the specialist that give injection (dunno wat it call)).
