Most probably to KitKat but am not sure bout it. Maybe it just some new or latest Jellybean firmware first..follow by another KitKat firmware..LOL

Safest way is to use Odin or MobileOdin and manually flash the latest Jellybean firmware.

How is your note perform? Battery good? Use any microsd card? I'm thinking to get 64gb microsd but Idk if it may cause lag or battery drain? Any idea? As per theory, bigger storage require more power to operate..

stick with jb rom. do not upgrade to official kitkat with bootloader, else u will regret to spend money on samsung with only 3hrs SOT.

I plan to update to latest 4.2.2 is that ok? I bought 2 units of Note 8.0 and I'm selling it to my sisters.. so I need to make sure the devices work fine.. otherwise they will keep bugging me to fix this and that..haha

4.2.2 is better.
i hv try the disconnect battery for 1hr trick, now in the 3rd cycle of battery usage. looks like the SOT improve a bit.

after I downloaded 4.2.2 firmware, approx 1.2gb file from Sammobile, then I realize my Note 8.0 already latest 4.2.2.. If I click auto-update OTA, directly go to Kitkat.. battery usage kinda good if I fully utilize usage between Note 8 & my mi3..

maybe u can try du battery if it can extend the battery life longer

Need advice...am going to buy n8 soon. Is it safe to buy from a normal shop/booth rather than buying it from online or trusted shop? Becoz I want to trade in my old tab2 to replace with this & only at normal shop/booth wanted to buy it.

Another q is, do n8 got AP version? Coz normally booth or small shop tend to sell cheaper than normal price by selling AP version (talking from experience)

As long as you get a new sealed box of SME set..it doesn't matter where you buy it. Try look around for cheaper price. Nowdays it cost from RM750 - RM850.

Am not sure whether got AP set here in M'sia. But to be safe, insist a set box that was sealed with those blue SME sticker.
