Hi sifusssss, I received my 2.0 forte last week. I'm wondering it is common or my car FC is higher? according to the meter, it shown 12.6/100km. is it normal for new car 2.0 or my driving skill problem? stuck in the jam, it will count as well? I stuck in the jam last monday for almost 2hrs, is that causing this?

and changing to iridium plug and K&N filter will help? thanks thanks

If you got money, change to better LRR tyre ... Michelin Primacy LC, PS3, Yokohama Advan DB551, Goodyea F1 Ays 2. Your tyre still new, go for trade in, sure get good value.

i also faced the same pain with you...car milleague less than 1k. now only go to 650km.

when i see the FC, really heart pain. so pratice not to monitor the FC meter. just drive as your normal style.

On accident case, i have some advise to share so tht our bro here won't get scammed again..Just my 2 cents thou.. Pls correct me if im wrong..
1) If your car get banged/hit, insist to make a police report immediately. Other parties may want to skip the police report and counter offer to repair your car. In this case, make sure they pay u on the spot, and yes, do not let them delay as they will cook up some grandfather's story once they let off. (" pass me the bill and i'll pay "won't work 95%)..Unless u know the other party quite well like ah bear's with his neighbour. If due to certain reasons when they can't pay u on the spot, make a time arrangement and jot down their car's number plate and REMEMBER to match and check their ROAD TAX as well. Some may have expired one then u have to be extra careful on this. They'll find whatever excuses to run away.Remember, the stories and responsibilities will be different onve they left the accident scene.. If they didn't show up after the agreed time, straight away make a report at respective police station. ( must be in 24 hrs from accident time)
2) if involved with motorcyclist, more headache as i think they won't pay u back when only minor scratches or minor ketuk ketuk. If the motorcyclist is injured, PLEASE MAKE SURE to make a police report. Yes, they can sue you back anytime in between a month's period. (those lawyer have their cable to get this kind of case from hospital/ police station), and mostly on court, the motorcyclist will win the suit case. So, make a policereport and from there, your insurance company can cover u on..

Why? FALKEN not good? Falken 522.
The tyre shop said it's not as good as Michelin but still provide lesser noise than stock tyre. It's rm200 cheaper than Michelin. My old car user Falken quite good. Nose tolerable

it is scary i saw the fuel needle went down noticeably. will try to change the rim and tyre 1st. hopefully it will get better. Thanks for all the sifus advises. Still new to this car, need time to get use to it.

i noticed a big difference if you try to control the rpm around 2k or 3k .. then you will be saving some fuel..

that is what i am currently practicing .. and it actually went down from 12-13 km/l to 11-12km/l..

i am trying hard hopefully can get a better FC..

what the meaning control around rpm of 2k-3k?
i notice keep the speed at at least 40km/j then the l/km meter will go down a bit.

yeap..last time my uncle told me about this also..don't let the rpm over 3k..it will be saving more fuel..

meaning dont press the throttle kaw2.. press lightly only, maintain rpm below 3k is good..
as for me, when i received the car, it show 12.2L/100km.. after i reset, driving 200++km, it shows 9.7L/100km (avg speed 80-110 km/h)
now its 300++km, down to 8.9L/100km.. always maintain speed and below 3k rpm..

rpm is the left meter..
so control the pedal with your foot and try to practice it around 2x1k rpm - 3x1k rpm loo~~

then u will get better FC..

i fully city drive, didnt notice my rpm but sometime oso quite hard for me to maintain speed at 40km/j...now the best i get is 12.6l/km, only first service.
