front wheel 33 PSI and rear wheel 32 PSI. The front wheel has to support engine weight and should be more higher.
*
KIA JNS share with me, the best they have tried is 32 front and 34 rear.
You may test it.

The rear you cannot pump too high, it is lighter without engine. It will make your car bumping. Normally we pump higher on our front wheel.
*
I agree with u in term of common sense, that should apply for most cars.

However, the manager/boss of JNS has shared his experience with me. They have lots of experience with Forte since 2009. So I am willing to try out, no harm to try out right?

JNS is the best SC as reported by Penang Fortezen, i have good experience too.

Hi all,
I am wondering if Penang KIA JNS do tyre balancing and alignment? Because when the time I changed rim, they told me my camber is not accurate. They want to fix for me with addtional charges.

I told them will go back to KIA SC and ask for warranty. Not sure if JNS will have computer to measure camber or not...

Please advice.
*
Yes, I did alignment at JNS, but not FOC, they will charge $$
Not sure about camber thing. Why don't u just call up and ask them?

Hey I found a tyre shop at bandar puteri puchong

The Michelin PS3 (215 45 17) is rm450 per piece From Thailand
And continental MC5 is rm380 but don't know manufacture from where ..
Is that consider good price ?

And what are the driving experience that fortezen here have ?

Can share little from some Sifus~~
*
PS3 is performance tyre, good choice. If u have budget go for it.

Im using Conti MC5, don't know where manufactured, not so important for me.

RM380 is within market range, but I read from FB forte group, most ppl can get around 350, the lowest reported is 320!

MC5 is mixture of comfort and slighty performance type. Personal experience, it's much much more comfort than stock silverstone.

Wet and dry is both good for me as I don't drive too fast/aggressive.

Noise level is bit abvious starting 80km/h but still acceptable. After 110km/h can hear more noise. Also depend on road condition.

hey guys,

i withdraw my old car NCD 55% to my Forte when i was purchasing it Aug 2012.

until now the NCD withdrawal still not refund to me by the dealer company. i suspect the SA "eaten" my money. Because i can see my Forte is already 55% NCD view from online website.

sifu, please kindly advise, thanks.

contact insurance company...sometime withdraw from one to another the 'linkage' is having problem....where it released at one end but never float to the 'general database' so other insurance company can't see ur record
*
thanks for the advice.
i'm sure the withdrawal from old car insurance is successfully, i have the endorsement and the receipt copy for my top up after NCD withdraw.

however, i didn't check with my Forte's insurance company whether they have release the money to the Kia dealer.
I assumed that the Kia dealer already received, but the Kia dealer just keep delay to pay me the amount.

i chase them since Sept 2012 until now, every week. now i chase every day. the damn SA!

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Jan 31 2013, 10:23 PM)
Funny, when the time I bought car, the agent ask me to pay insurance amount after NCD deduction. I am so curious why you have to pay for full amount.
*
yes, after withdraw the NCD from old car insurance, i have to top up the amount due to the old car insurance's NCD=0% , no more discount.

now the NCD transferred to Forte punya insurance company, i should be getting the NCD=55% which is about RM1300. already 5 months still cannot settle for me, how bad the service.

every time he said "ok ok i will do for u" end up nothing. many kind of excuses come out. shit!

This is Lenso -Project D Spec E. The price is acceptable since including cone and nut. Request for free aligment + balancing as well. Ask them match for you before pasang. I have tried this before. It really looks very cool especially if you have bodykit. The color they let me choose is black and chrome dark silver. Chrome dark silver really good with my bright silver car.

Well I have to dropped this after compare with Spec C because Spec C is slightly lighter but really no different. The rim size is 17" x 7.5 and I am worry it will kacau the warranty too. You can call and ask the service centre first. Spec C only 17" x 7.

Go for it man .. This is reliable rim.
*
Do u get more mileage with new rims?
Some ppl said lighter rim improve FC, how true is it?

Not that significant if you are a heavy footer... But city ride will be better... This is base on my experience... Don't know about others.. I'm using a 7.4kg rim for my ride...
*
Thanks. My city drive FC really sux.
Always 12L/100km. tongue.gif

QUOTE(bennedict82 @ Feb 3 2013, 11:55 AM)
You can check my fuelly.com to know detail. But you need to wait for next 1-3 months to know it. I dont think I will gain any FC improvement because of mixed driving (urban + highway).

Common sense tells me only will improve FC with 100% city drive.

With lighter rim, you loss momentum in highway driving and i believe you need to press accel pedal to keep certain speed.

Anyone who has replced with lighter rim, they can share experience.
*
Thanks. I think the lost momentum feel is because the lighter rim get more efficiency to slow down when engine breaking happens, maybe?

I believe this is not an issue. I prefer it that way actually (stay on air circulation mode when turn off the AC). Last time my car AC behave like this..now it back to default setting (switch to fresh air intake) when turn off the AC. I'm not sure on how to toggle between this 2 type of settings anyway
*
Mine initially was switch to fresh air when I turn off AC, I don't like that.
Sometime accidentally switch to auto mode, it will turn to fresh air intake sad.gif
If I didn't monitor closely, I would have to breath dirty air from outside.

Here is how I tune it to maintain at indoor circulation permanently.

1. Power up the car without starting engine. Make sure aircond is not switch on.
2. Press the windscreen demisting button (the one on the left of the aircond screen)
3. Hold down the A/C button while pressing the AIR RECIRCULATE button repeatedly very quickly (the button with the orange LED)
4. If successful, the entire aircond screen will blink. Stop pressing AIR RECIRCULATE but continue to hold down your A/C button until the screen stop blinking.

Try at your own risk, hehe laugh.gif

How to redo ? Off the key & start all over again ?

If failed, it will remain the same (base on my case, nothing change).

How to redo? Off the engine and back to step 1.

That's is because you are lucky enough.

One of my case,
The van hit my family car last time. He told me will give money tomorrow morning. Talk very nice and politely. And then tomorrow morning told us too busy and will meet night time. And then dissapear forever.

We give chance?!! Yes we did ... end up have to pay by ourselves.

Another case, young man hit my car from behind. He said will pay money tomorrow. I didnt want to force him pay immediately because still young and dont want to scare him.
Tomorrow, he bring uncle, parentsĀ  argued that I was driving improperly and emergency break. not their fault.
All after 24 hours. Cannot lodge any police report. eat myself.... sad.gif
*
Agreed with u. Outside many ppl so "black", many from the darkside tongue.gif

I just get back my insurance NCD after long wait for 6 months. The SA makan my money and I found a way escalate to his boss.

I was almost give up and plan to bring this up to court case (TTPM) but luckily I got the money from his own money.

Just want to warn potential buyer from Nortern Region, plssssss don't ever buy car from the dealer "LXX KXXX"

Also, don't buy car from broker/middle man, although they tried to use better offer to attract u!
Whatever problem happen they will just ignore and pretend the problem not belongs to their control! very very irresponsible!

PENANG (northern region) guys, if u considering to buy Kia car, don't trust the Penang SA who is active here, I don't want to mention his name but u can PM me. I will be glad to help to minimize victim numbers.

Good luck!

RM150 for brand new still possible i think. anything above i think quite impossible ady cause brand new Silverstone M5 17" is only RM240 while atlantis V7 is RM270.

Mine was trade in for 150/pc after 1000km service.
So I guess brand new maybe can get slightly more, just slightly hehe.
