Space is getting scarce, especially in cities, escalating properties price and stagnant income coupled with higher cost of living are all the issue increasingly faced by the current generations.?

When it comes to buying 1st home, an emerging trend all over the world is building smaller and smaller houses, would you buy one? ....whether for own dwelling or investment ?

How small will be too small for you?

Would appreciate if you wiil share your answer. Thanks.

Singapore already enforced new policies on Shoebox flats... those with 100-500sqft.

What is the min sq ft a person need to live comfortably? I think they should have max number of persons per unit, or else you see 10 ppl in 100 sq ft unit.

Actually, I prefer completely open concept including bathroom..just separated by glass....and blinds when you want to do private business.

But must be very clean and tidy loh...or else.....

Just to give everyone the idea how small is a microhome

This is how a 100 sf at 10 ft height cubehome looks like

But 500 sq ft can look like this:

Living in too cramp a space is not good for health. The smallest studio I lived in was 700 sq ft. but we spent most of our waking hours outside so it was bearable. We also had a fantastic view of the city.

I think later on many ll need to buy a room and not a house anymore. Some rich guys room might b superbly big like 1000sf. So buying 400sf unit is s gd s a room.
