DREAM PDA/Phone would have to have:

i) WI-FI
ii) GPS
iii) 3G
iv) Long lasting battery
v) Good Camera with LED Flash

The rest like BT,IR,processor,OS,High RAM/ROM should be standard.

But the current batch of PDA phones can already do a lot of things that can be done on the notebook. Except that you have to contend with a smaller screen.

Longer battery life with hi-def screen resolution. titanium case so I can throw at dogs and maintain scratch-less. PDA-like unit with 3G support and CHEAP.

I'm happy with my PDA phone.

But in a what-I-want-for-Christmas dream scenario, I would like

- it to be slimmer (height x width is fine for the screen size..).

- Battery is OK for 2-3 days of usage. 4 days to one week would be super, for trips away from home.

- A better camera, like the new Sony Ericsson Cybershot handphone with 3.2 megapixels and flash! Really no need for a separate digicam anymore.

There are many other little features I can think of, some of which are available on other PDA phones, but are just not that important. ie, voice recognition, WiFi (I'm not a Starbucks poser.. smile.gif ) etc.

My laptop does pretty much all I want.

For my PDA, I want it to have OLED screens and fantastic battery life so I can listen to hours and hours of music.

Hmmm, i'm presently happy with my NX70V... However, the "perfect" PDA should preferably have these features:

- TV reception

- Bluetooth, GPRS, 3G, and WiFi all-in-one!

- Should be slimmer and not so heavy (the NX70V is so big, it makes my Nokia and iPod seem so small!)

- Built-in radio and MP3

- More advanced camera, pref. above 3 megapixels, so that we can put the conventional digicam aside

- Ultra long-lasting battery, so that music and other entertainment media can be enjoyed for hours on the PDA!

What do you mean by that..? You sure don't seem to be a professional electronics engineer or designer, nor would one do a "survey" in a forum like this or with such unstructured language. You are not using us for your homework assignment, are you..?

Oh I see. I was just curious about what you meant.

If you're referring to software, the following would be great (for Palm operating system)
* a software that will let me view, store and organize SMS on the desktop computer
* a "Memo" or notepad softtware that will allow me to easily put in thumbnail photos from the PDA's camera (or a file), like in a Microsoft Word document. Currently the Memo software is text-only.
* Software that will detect when a phone call is connected or disconnected, and then record details about total and per-call talk time (so can manage telephone bills).
