but you cant simply say original comes with paper box biggrin.gif
there are many out there could bought hard plastic one and confuse by your statement just because of your logical thinking for now?

to identify fake or not there are couples of info out there can search, and none of it mentioned the box is what kind of material to differentiate original or fake..

+1. there's a lot of blog or website which explains how to differentiate an ori or a fake xiaomi pb. But the best still to buy from xiaomi.

Reason?

heres a scenario.

Seller A have been selling imported set of Xiaomi PB for some time. Not sure whether its fake or ori, but have the same packing as the ori. Because he cannot clear all his current stocks due to the doubts from buyers on ori vs fake. He decided to order from xiaomi malaysia website. with that, he starts telling ppl his stocks are from xiaomi malaysia. (because he got the purchase slip). Upon seeing the proof of purchase from Xiaomi Malaysia, buyers started to buy from him. Now, here's the million dollar question. Can the buyer be assured that the sellers is selling the units he bought recently from xiaomi malaysia? or will he send those current unknown status units he is holding now?

we wont know cos power bank doesnt comes with imei no, unlike the phones.

While not all sellers are as bad as the one I mentioned, but can we be sure the one we bought from is not these type of sellers? Still want to take the risk?

It's up to u.

It's better purchase XiaoMi powerbank from official website http://www.mi.com/my rather than buying from reseller to make sure 100% original.

just want to ask you guys about the mi powerbank 10400mAH...
i found it charge quite slow with the iphone charger, is it normal?

here is a routine:

1) Yoobao charger - charge from 1st light blinking from 8.45am - 12.30pm, still 1st light blinking, guess the charger not enough power

2) switch to iPhone original charger from 12.30pm - 7pm, it's 4th light blinking but due to i need to leave office and i off it.

3) today morning 8.45am - 9.15am, 4th light stop blinking... so it's fully charge.

Wow, really takes so long? i have heard from my friends and colleagues saying that using samsung/ipad charger will get it charge faster...

btw, i assume my powerbank is genuine cos i bought it from Mi Online Store website...

If not mistaken, xiaomi powerbank input is 2A. iPhone adapters can only provide 1A, so the powerbank will be charging slowly.
iPad adapters (excluding the iPad mini 1 adapter) can provide up to 2.4A so it will charge the xiaomi powerbank optimumly at 2A, which means it will charge the powerbank faster

i use iPad charger but make sure you use back the usb cable provided.

i tried using samsung's usb cable... took 24 hours to fully charge. then i use back the provided cable. much, much faster.

or you can go for those samsung 2A chargers. just avoid unbranded ones.
