ok i list down all the problems encounter by nexus 4 so far

1. yellow screen. both of yellow tint or some because due to uncure lcd glue thingy (fix for yellow tint, trickster mod  and N4 display control)

2. upside down menu found in all across the phone, due to accelerometer problem

3. cracked back glass

4. battery drain out fast

5. light bleed

6. cant receive file from other device (bluetooth)
what else? now the list really worrying. lucky i dont buy this phone. i suggest this kind of problem to be publish at the front, together with workaround or solutions for it.
*
This list of problems does NOT occur in all the phones. As far as I am concerned I do NOT have any of your listed problems. Item 3 - depends on your own handling - if drop on hard surface chances of cracking is high
Item 6 : I can received all files send from my Note 2 thro bluetooth. Dont know why some said is a bug ??
If a phone has such a long list of problems , you can throw it away
If you go to another phone thread, you can also easily list their problems too

Jesus. Found that my Nexus 4 is bugged, cant receive file from my friend note2 after paired with it.

Ps. I mean the Blueteeth.
*
I have ZERO problems accepting files from my Note 2
You have to drag down the taskbar and accept incoming file on Nexus 4 so that file can be transfer over
Is definitely NOT a bug

Got my ringke slim case !

» Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... «

the case is slim and sturdy
but it feels more angular then the soft smooth curved edge
if only i can find a shatter proof SP for the back... i will use it naked. wub.gif  wub.gif
*
Is the fit very tight ?
I last bought it for my previous Galaxy Nexus - taking it out was very difficult. That time the case cost nearly RM 90 ( bought directly from Ringke) ; now is so much cheaper

hahaha.... i hope something like a shatter proof kinda like SP for SONY phone will be made available
im not using any SP... i hate SP tat does not cover edge to edge.... so far none in the market so wont be using one
if anything, i only want SP for the back
it is fit tight....as tight as the one on GNex cos i used Ringke Slim for my old Gnex too
yeah, now its only around RM50 buicks, but without SP
quality assured and only about 20bucks more than Nillkin
*
Need extra care taking out the case. Unnecessary pressure on the back could crack the back glass

Anyone tried Mako kernel with stock rom?how was the battery life?
*
I was on it past 2 days on aokp rom. Even bought his US4.99 kernel app
I find battery life still poorer than harsh kernel on 3g usage. My phone 3g on 24/7 as rarely used wifi as unlike KL my place rare free wifi hotspots except in coffee shops

they have restocked some of the bumpers. you can call them and ask whether it is rev 1 or 2. do ask whether they'll provide warranty. if still rev 1, then i'd say not worth it for 89 and without warranty. the peeling issue is for real. there is a long xda thread for it. better get from shirogawa or other seeler rev 2 with warranty from usa.

latest news from xda is rev 3 is coming. i ordered rev 2 from racerx.

maybe the yellow black one i'll purchase it in a few months time. i dont mind though, 3 years warranty.
*
Ver 3 for a bumper. How dissapointing
Got mine from shirogawa n expected eta is first week Feb. It is rm50 I remember n hope is ver2

*
No WiFi issues at all , so far. At home is connected to P1 network while outside has tested at several coffehouse spots - Starbucks, Old Kopitiam, McDonalds, Cofeebean

But it shows 100%. Should I wait longer before unplug?

No idea about this. When mine shows 100% the icon immediately change to solid bar

Running PA rom and yesterday tested kaw kaw using 3G all the time, even download the latest PA rom on the phone using 3G.

I got 19h 24m on battery and 1h 41m on screen. Does that consider good?
*
If you mean it is near empty at 1 hr 41 m screen time, it is very bad
The usage time is unimportant - it can be idle most of the time. Important is screen on time . You should hit at least 4 hours . Some user even hit 6 hours and that is of course under highly control conditions, eg using minimal 3G and wifi mainly, turning sync and GPS off

Hi all Sifus here, if i flash in kernel, once google has the lastest update like 4.2.2, can we just update it like normal or need to flash roms?
*
Update through OTA your kernel must remain stock
You can easily flash any updated rom using the Nexus 74 toolkit - just download the latest google image and use toolkit in PC to flash

need to flash... the hard way will be relock bootloader and flash the stock img
but i can tell you
last year, during google io when they intro JB
that afternoon, the dump file was created and the rom was rooted. i was running JB on Gnex that evening when they intro JB in midnite (msia time)
all you have to do is to flash the rom and enjoice
*
It is NOT hard way but in fact very easy just by using the toolkit to do it

correct me if im wrong. if we r using stock ROM but rooted & unlocked, we neeed to unroot back & lock back right ?
*
No need . Just upgrade straightway using the toolkit. You will lose root but bootloader remains unlock. Lock it back if you wish

http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2024982

And then just use OTA to update?this seem pretty simple right?
*
Flash that through recovery mode and you get back stock kernel

Nexus is very easy. Even the manual cmd way is just fastboot oem unlock,to unlock the bootloader. Try the cmd method if you want to learn more. very easy actually. A good learning experience id say. At least youll understand how the toolkit works.the toolkit is just a GUI
*
I use all these during my first android Nexus1
Even though was my first android it was darn easy too
The toolkit nowadays is even more simpler just choose n click only

if Nexus 4 have OTG, it can even connect to another device and act as a host. with this, you can root the other device from nexus 4! this is is doable on Galaxy Nexus, someone did it before, not many know about this though, i remember watching a video demoing how to do it, by koz i think. this is one of the many reasons to not let go of your Galaxy Nexus  tongue.gif  tongue.gif

My only disappointment with this phone : lacking usb otg support
