Hi guys,
Just installed unifi yesterday. My question is, can we change the tv box from TM to other similar products from China etc?

LOL this is not satellite TV, this cable TV.
It only has TV programs provided by Unifi.

i have a ip tv box, been using over 1 year, was connected to streamyx to watch tv shows,
now changed to unifi, using homeplug to watch hypptv but need to change cable slot at the back of the router to use the abovementioned tv box.
can i use the same slot for other purpose than hypptv?

You can't replace the Unifi TV box, you just connect your IP TV box to one of the LAN port of the Unifi WIFI router.

As what WebWalker mentioned, connect your existing China TVbox to a LAN port and it will connect via internet and stream the videos from China (I reckon)

I using one of this boxes and make sure your HYPPTV is on standby as when its ON, it hogs the bandwidth.

No, that port is for the hypptv is specially configured only to use with hypptv.
I personally have not used hypptv in months since nothing really interesting on it anyway tongue.gif

For your input issue, I guess you need to get one more unit homeplug and reconfigure the pairing like below

1) a1+a2 (1pair homeplug) for hypptv use
2) b1+b2 (1pair homeplug) for china box use

You'll need to use the included software to do the pairing smile.gif
