The so called saving is not what it is...
The adv can be misunderstood as...
RM1340 + upfront RM672 + RM60x24 months - rebate RM28x24months= RM2780 for 24 months (everyone will think the plan is RM60!!!)

but reality is
RM1340 + upfront RM672 + (88-28=60)x24 months = RM3452 for 24 months
where you "SAVE" RM28 per month for your bill

That is why i said, please calculate total amount you have to pay for 24 months, but not seeing DG wonderful calculation....
and OF COZ
the upfront payment is preventing purchaser to RUN AWAY from paying...
that is why every digi plan total payment during registration is almost same price with the device price!
that means if anyone dun want to pay anymore after pay the 1st payment, DG will not lose any cent of money.....  notworthy.gif

good explanation.. but i really cannot understand the telcos in Malaysia.. advance payment wor.. they collect the money and go bank in FD is it? You set contract 2 years, if customer run, then just black list la.. all telcos cannot register line anymore till u pay up. i owe them 0.01 cents also they send sms said wanna suspend my line.. lol.

So many consumer in whole Malaysia, if you are running your own telco business how many people can you blacklist? Is your "lost" not "gain".
If the person is blacklist, he can get a new line from any telco with the help of friends or family members using their name and i/c. Lol!

Thats why they do all these advance payment concept. Even you have to lost not getting back the advance payment and terminate your line before your contract ends also you will get a panalty. Just my 2cents.
*
That y when telco A black list a customer, he/she will not able to register with any services with other telcos as well. They can only use prepaid or other's name. And now, 1 iC can only register up to 5 lines. I kena before. Maxis said I owe them 0.12cents and black list me for 2 years until I realized that..

Gentlemen,

Is DiGi LTE available at Butterworth area? I know that we need to change our sim card then only can get LTE, but before i do so, would like to confirm on the LTE coverage. Any Penang Lang here? Hehe
*
be careful with digi LTE claim... i saw their coverage for LTE in my area and went to replace my sim.. go home cannot use... call them they said the coverage only for outdoor. if indoor cannot use.. but the thing is, in their website they only put as outdoor coverage. Unless u wanna stay out camping, u better check with them

Mine is iphone 5 jer..
i also dont know.. maybe 5 showing 4G 5s showing LTE?
*
No. iPhone 5 cannot use LTE for Digi. Only Maxis can. Reason. DIGI using LTE band 7 which is not in the list of iPhone 5. 5S has more band for LTE.

QUOTE(Hawaiiii @ Apr 17 2014, 03:35 PM)
DiGi 4G not support for iPhone 5 now and never, they only support i5s as CS told me, after i change my sim to LTE. Lol DiGi so lame, other telco like M & C dont need to change to get LTE signal. This is very unlucky for iPhone 5 DiGi users.
*
Due to the limitation of LTE band in iPhone 5. Digi using LTE band 7 while iPhone 5 is band 25

QUOTE(shawn87 @ Apr 18 2014, 08:52 AM)
r u serious bro? digi cannot get 3G on iphone 5? Can someone pls explain why digi cannot get lte signal on iphone 5  rclxub.gif
*
3G no problem. LTE big problem. U want LTE on iPhone 5? Use Maxis. this is the same as iPad Mini 1st gen. no LTE for Digi due to the LTE band.

QUOTE(EdwinCodec @ Apr 18 2014, 09:48 AM)
4G you mean. DiGi is using a different band for their LTE at the moment. A band that i5 doesn't support. But in near future? We don't know.
*
don't think digi will add since the new devices support band 7 already.

QUOTE(firdausbhari @ Apr 18 2014, 11:50 PM)
can only use outdoor?? what the....
*
yes. i need to stand under the sun to get LTE signal. n guessed what.. once i get in my car, no more LTE signal. only certain area have LTE for both indoor n outdoor. so please check with CS before u subscribe.. i upgraded my plan to 6gb with free LTE but cannot use.. lol...

ooo.. like that ah?
my gf using celcom on iphone 5 now can get lte. quite good the coverage..

How about other phones? or only aplicable to iphone?

even though its MY set still doesnt sappork lte for digi?
*
Just check on the supported band.. iPhone 5 supported lte 25 which maxis n celcom supported. Diigi utilize band 7. But for 5s, no problem cos apple added in all the band...

Haha, i am a dg loyal customer too smile.gif
Although so many ppl complain bout dg, im still with it smile.gif
My hometown, sarawak sibu only get 3g january 2013,
Before this the "E" is attacked by so many smartphone users that i cant even load a page

Next time u try ask others at gerik whether they hv received 3g or no la :lol
Else no choice, u hv to change telco after ur contract ends hmmm...

i started with celcom, switched to maxis, and finally digi + umobile as 2nd line (cheapest plan for postpaid at rm29, perfect for 2nd line use).

What i find among all and reason i stuck with digi even if my ip5 no LTE. Im based in KK, Sabah.

1. Celcom - broad coverage in Malaysia. Limited LTE in my area, Plans are most expensive among the others. felt its more suitable for ppl who can claim phone bill with company.

2. Maxis - The worst customer service, the worst product knowledge, always tried to mislead customers. (not sure its everywhere, but experienced this in almost all dealers and maxis centre in KK) While it has better LTE coverage in KK, package is quite attractive, but with such bad CS, i rather not use it anymore. Worst experienced during my contract time .. n giving me problem even after i terminated my line..

3. Digi - Probably the best CS among the rest. But the slow implementation of LTE is really making them looks bad. And with the launching of the new packages, i find its more expensive than before. Luckily I'm still on the old plan.

4. uMobile - worse coverage even for 3G. but anyway, since its cheap, just use it for 2nd line..

What CS service u refer? Should be there is a problem occured only u go for CS right? And i always experience drop call while driving, this problem never been solved make me really frustrated, but i have no choice. Last time i subscribe DiGi is because the data quota, i wont get charged after exceeding the limit, Maxis will charge u a boom while Celcom will block u to access data, but now the story totally different. As i know maxis offer more competitive pricing, more LTE coverage (10x faster than 3G), for iphone package, DiGi is good in town area, but it will suck if u use at ulu place like my hometown Gerik. I think i will switch to maxis after my contract end.

Maxis - Always with billing. Last time i dont call or sms a lot but my bill is always high.. when i check with maxis, they told me system issue. when i terminate the line, after 1 year when i want to apply for new line at celcom, they told me i was blacklisted by Maxis. Checked with maxis, the CS told me line cancelled but not terminated, so the plan still on going and they continue to charge me monthly fee. and since i didn't pay, they blacklisted me. What a joke...

My friend experience the same with data charges with maxis too.. after reaching the quota which he didn't know cos the son is using the phone, the bill came and total up to RM6xx. He was in shocked and complain to Maxis. U know what they told him? "U should have control your kids instead of coming here and make noise". I was next to my friend and before he said anything, the CS got a scolding from me... Not because of the amount but because of the attitude of the staff - maxis should train their staff properly.

i understand digi can be weak in coverage especially smaller town. at home, in my office, my signal always E instead of 3G. Even when i go back to Kajang, (my in laws) the coverage is pretty bad too.. there are times when i wanted to terminate my line and switch, but after cooling down and rethink of my previous experience with the other telcos, its not too bad also. at least if anything happens, digi still able to answer me in a good manner.. You know la.. when one is angry with something, the least u expect is the CS is an idiot!

from my personal experience i do feel that digi has improved alot especially their 3g/Hsdpa signal. most of the town and highway digi able to get full bars but no so with my another maxis line where its 2 bars or less.

maxis- noticed that lately they have quite many of blind spots especially at highway and certain areas. like nkve shah alam bound, federal batu tiga, plus south. even gardens hotel conference room maxis has no signal vs digi full bar

digi- speed wise nothing to shout about as i able to get on average 2-4mbps with H+. However digi plans are quite pricey nowadays vs maxis

celcom- so-so only. but 2g coverage is great among the 2 telcos. but in congestion area like mall or traffic jam..sometimes will switch to Edge

ya.. the new plans seems expensive now... but today they have drop the RM50 plan to RM45 which makes it the cheapest entry level plan. 2GB data.
