Congrats colleague! rclxms.gif

U got MRO? Contract or outsource? Technical wise, cannot comment cuz from different dept.
Benefit wise, proj can claim a lot, toll, petrol etc etc. Not bad la, overnight allowance, holiday allowance etc etc allowance. But, the more allowance, the more work la.. haha..
Be prepared to work with HQ ppl... ahem~
Do brush up on your mandarin ya, doesn't matter if you've been speaking mandarin for your whole life.
Boss(pure Chinese guy) asked me for a pendrive on my 1st week and I've no idea what he wanted. Thought he wanted a plate..hoho..
No worries on office politics, maybe you'll encounter it on the customer side, not in Huawei.
3 yrs in Huawei, still alive and kicking  tongue.gif

Huawei only got 2 main criteria for technical support:
1) Able to speak and read chinese (I can't read chinese though..hehe)
2) Willing to work and travel
Agree to all except point 1. No OT la, only allowance.
Politic wise, never encounter before as well.

I am a 22 years old fresh graduate, will work as Pre-Sales product engineer start from next monday.

They asked me to attend the interview of Application Service Engineer, but after heard the job scope, i rejected the interview coz the postition not my preference.

Then go apply global service technical enginner but failed at last stage.

Finally i got a offer of the current postiion. May be as a fresh graduate mayb i should work 1st and dont be too choosy LOL

Btw, huawei offers better salary compared to zte,I also rejected the offer of technical support engineer from zte b4.

definitely is global service technical engineer, technical interview ask 2G,3G such common tele knowledge, but the director interview you need to show something that is different with other candidates. Last time i quite cincai in this session and cant get the offer.@@ After this i just go try pre-sales department.

Thanks mimi89 =)
From what i read in this topic, global technical service engineer requires heavy travel compare to pre-sales. Hmm, considering about the safety of the working area in foreign country, is it suitable for a female?
*
it depends on your characteristics, if you willing to travel and no homesick i tin it should be ok, the safety of working area is not an issue on my opinion, i heard so many ppl overseas but so fast din hear any accident smile.gif

Product engineer, so basically if u r offered with such title, mostly from lvl 16, Malaysia Bssc, the dept is expanding now, want to hire really a lot ppl.

3 product teams in this dept : wireless, core network, network( access network/microwave/data comm/Wdm transmission)

Better to know Chinese since this job relies heavily on HQ support for bidding activity.

Managed to go thru 3 interviews for the Pre Sales Product Engineer position. Initially the first 2 went well i think, but the 3rd interview which involves the Director is a tough one. He is constantly stressing that my years of working not enough (4++years) where i was wondering the position put minimum 2years exp. Then belittling my current company and being cocky on how Huawei has hundreds of staffs under one team and etc. Overall i think i not gonna have a good chance getting hired since the Director keep nitpicking here and there. He asked me to wait for one week for reply as they need to have discussions on who to shortlist.

I advised you not to join this department if you got other offer. There are plenty good departments in Huawei but not this.
Recently, a lot staffs are leaving this department. That why they are so eagerly recruiting new people now. Siapa pun boleh masuk. Btw, I am leaving soon as well.

Good luck to you if you still want to join. smile.gif
