having a Cisco cert is meaningless in Huawei, NONE Cisco stuff on their system period.  Unless their cisco cert were stamped with "yah i mastered SS7,H248,h323, SIP,MTP, M3UA.sigtran and etc" then it's a diffrent story.

having a valid cisco cert and with working experience especially in telco environment is super meaningful if u wan to join hw in datacomm.

afaik, huawei router copy the IOS of cisco before cisco filing lawsuit, overnight they change the command and some naming....but the theories een practical are the same.

like in cisco, we type "show" but in hw, we type "display" for the same purpose.

SS7, M3UA,sigtran, Dts, dolby digital, mp3 and ipod are on 3G or Radio or NGN......... not same with datacomm la.

So kukichi,

What your opinion about this job? I'm blur to accept this offer. Since currently I'm doing Core Network Development for TM. Base on salary, experiance and benefit quite same. But I don't know how's working environment in Huawei. I'm ok working for long hour. I means for travel. Do i need to go to oversea for 1 or 2 month without coming back to malaysia. Huhuhuh please guys help me....i need to get back to HR by next week for decision.....

Zil

cannot be the same, i assume u work at TM only locally.

if u work travel, u will getting allowance......one day at 100-200.....after adding up...should be more than TM substantially.

i only interviewed by the technical manager not the hr and director.
i guess my chances are low huh?

if the tech manager wan to hire u, hr will proceed to int u. unless noone is available at that time. but they will ask u to come back one day.

so, my guess ur chance is low.

huawei has been registered double digit growth on revenue for few years consecutively....but the profit only increment at 4-5% on average.......

so, their winning factor will always be the cost-that-they-charge-customer. but when stronger elephant like ericsson willing to slash their price to match huawei's......i guess...huawei will face a huge retaliation....

be it economy crisis or not.......they will face bigger challenge starts 2009
