I've mentioned before how I felt Rodgers was unfairly getting a lot of flack for buying only young players. People need to realise that he didnt develop the policy. Rather, he has had to buy who he feels are the best players within the constraints if the policy.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/...an-Rodgers.html

With this in mind, the Sneijder transfer rumour carries more water.

it somehow only appears he is seen (rather unfortunately) as a little 'yes' person in terms of getting the experience players. while we know it may not be true.

there are reports that have presented us the stats of our form against the other teams in the league. somehow our record against higher teams in the leagues is rather depressing.
NO wins.

Liverpool form so far.(article link) No Wins Against Top Ten Opposition: Tactical Naivety Or Mental Weakness?

QUOTE
A worrying statistic from the table above is the fact that we have conceded the first goal in 8 games so far and we have failed to win a single one of them. In fact, we have only managed 3 points out of a possible 24 when we conceded the first goal of the game. We weren’t much better last season either where we managed to gain just 5 points out of a possible 24.

while it was stated there are signs of certain optimism, there are some areas that are weak in our play (likely conceding goals in early game due the pressing nature of the opposition/us making mistake as the result) .

I think its good it's pointed out and that's something for BR to chew on.

Hi Bro. Time to change the main heading title. Still on the gathering, eh? LOL biggrin.gif

If you dont wanna change it from time to time, why not put a permanent quote? tongue.gif

I am hoping to see the three S combo, sterling-suarez-sturridge start tonight.then borini second half since he just returned.honestly I don't want Allen or downing to start.they suck big time. gerrard lucas shelvey/henderson would be just fine.

Hopefully BR realizes that Allen isn't playing well at thw moment. Should start with the same back four. Perhaps Lucas, Gerrard and Hendo/Shelvey in midfield and with Sturridge, Sterling and Suarez upfront tonight.

And I hope BR doesn't start negatively. It's a home game against a team we've won convincingly this season.

Don't know what I about to says make any sense or not. But I mostly only watch EPL, rarely watch Bundesliga, Serie A, or La Liga.
But from what I observe so far, only EPL and Bundesliga played fast pace game, where as La Liga and Serie A played very slow, more on walk+pass.
Agree that If he wanna get over EPL, he must prepare for much more physical game.

Liverpool owner John W Henry’s Twitter account has caused a social media storm after he apparently gave a rather direct response to a fan who asked him to sign Dutch midfielder Wesley Sneijder.

The fan tweeted the Reds owner asking him to make a bid for midfielder Sneijder, explaining what an important asset he could be for the Anfield club.

They wrote: ‘If possible please make a bid for Wesley Sneijder to bring him to LFC family. He’s quality and wants to come.’

A fair request – nothing outrageous – but the response was less then courteous, with Henry – or someone purporting to be him – appearing to respond: ‘Im broke.’

The tweet was deleted soon after – suggesting it was either a mistake, misjudged humour, or his account was hacked, the latter seeming the most likely, given that the last of Henry’s tweets to remain live was back in July last year.

again, that article when mentions no wins against top 10 teams is partly incorrect.
when we beat west ham, they were ranked 8th, while we were at 11th.
due to that win, we moved into the top 10 for the first time, pushing west ham down who were in the top 10 for every week before that.

ppl who write and read those articles need to do more research instead of blindly following what others have said.
the article should more correctly be titled, no wins against teams in the CURRENT top 10.

regardless, there is still half a season left, and plenty of games against CURRENT top 10 teams, so we'll see what happens come end of season.

the way its typed 'im broke' doesnt look right.
if its coming from john henry who appears a stuck up person and who is very rigid by the rules...then he would be very fussy with punctuation and capitalization etc as is shown in the style of his previous tweets.
hack maybe not, photoshop possible tongue.gif
