mine was tinted with starblaze 3m. no bubble even after application. however, the guy did say a bubble might appear but will disappear in a week time only. never heard of it taking that long to vanish.

Hi, I am surprised too. For this particular security tint, the Centurion RX-4mil, the VLT is 53%, TSER is 62%. This tint is only in compliance with the side windscreens.

From my understanding after speaking with the installers from Huper Optik and also Raytech, and also by reading the forummers' experience on this forum, most of the tints even if on paper are in compliance with JPJ regulations ie. VLT 70% for front windscreen and VLT 50% for side windscreens, if sent for testing most of the tints will usually fail the test as the original windscreen may already come with 5%-10% tint in the factory. Not too sure how true is this. Also, the VLT as published or claimed by the manufacturer isn't exactly all accurate. Bottomline is in real life or practice, when your vehicle is on the road, if the tint isn't too dark then there should not be any problem ie. you won't get into any trouble with the police or JPJ guys. Those who tint their vehicles way below JPJ's regulation, belo VLT40% for front windscreen and below VLT30% for side windscreen, these vehicles might have a higher chance getting into trouble with the police.

Funny thing during my conversation with Raytech's lady on the telephone. She mentioned she tinted her vehicle way below JPJ's regulation, very dark, and she was stopped by police twice. An RM30 to RM50 tip had got herself free.

You can search lowyat forum and look for Steven. I did huper optik for my previous car under the "cover jpj" c70front c40side/rear package. Performance wise is good but too glaring for front windscreen. Slight discomfort if u drive under hot sun for long period of time(traffic jam)...this time around I opt for darker tints c40front c30side/rear and is much more comfortable. After having done 2 car with huper optik, i can say from outside it look quite dark for both cars but from inside is quite bright/clear even for my focus with darker tints. Steven emphasize many times that with this darker tiints they cant "cover jpj" for me. Again, if police/jpj want to disturb you they can give all sorts of reason. As Sierra glow, the owner quoted me rm650. Hopefully can bargain further as I'm returning customer. The rims spraying, didn't really ask around yet. If possible I might ask around fellow focus owner to lend me their spare tires...I wont be using the car during the rims spraying as i do have spare car, so I will just screw in the tires for safety reason

agree with what you said. No clear definition/explanation in the warranty. I did my other car last year and till now it looks good but definitely not as good as it first came out from the detailing centre. There are many detailing centres out there that charges few thousand so im in no position to expect perfect stuff for the price i paid.

Just got my Titanium+ white color last weekend! The SDAC have the lousy number plate installed on my car and blocked the front sensor. When the parking aid is activated the beeping sound annoys me. Will go to change the number plate this weekend.

So far so good. Anyone can recommend trustworthy tint shop? Budget below 1k.

How to take out the plate holder? got screw or just double side tape?

Clocked 4535 km in 2 months, 7 days... Average FC is now 10.96L/100KM. I am purely a city driver, with at least 60% of the time in KL traffic (from Hell), with average speeds of 10kmph.

What I find is the FC shoots up when sitting idle/crawling. I get about 9.0L/100KM on clear roads.

... and oh yes... first 2000km I was doing 11+L/100KM.... gets a bit better over time it seems....

i got 3k disc for non plus titanium model itself before the raya period where originally only standard 1k disc. during that period i got to know also can get more than that for + models on top of standard 3k discount during that period. So i'm sure the dealers able to compete and offer better discount. not sure for current period on the discounts.
