Hiya fellow FoFo-lovers,
Just to share my experience, I finally got my FoFo T+ from SDAC (Jln Ipoh) last Sat. I guess i was pretty lucky. I made my booking on 30 June and managed to get my car within 2 weeks. According to the SA, different dealers or sales office get different quota.
So far i have only clocked 300km.. just a few newbie questions to ask..
1) I have read that most fofo experience jerking/shuddering at low speed. Mine's pretty loud to the point its like a mild knocking sound.. Is it normal, or is that anything i can do other than to clock a higher mileage?
2) When the car is stationary, and there is nothing around the car. When i press the parking sensor button, sometimes it emit a solid beep tone and 2 red markers showing in front of car at the panel. This problem is intermittent and difficult to recreate and it seems to occur more often in stop and go traffic but it can happen anytime. Anyone has this problem?
3) Lastly, i realised this car comes with only 4 car mats, 2 in front, 2 back. It doesnt come with a centre mat for passenger seat. SA said no centre back mat.

Thanks guys. Problem 1 - Will try to run my car to 1000km and see if the jerking and vibration got reduced. If not have to bring my car back to SDAC for them to check. The SA says no need to software update... no difference. Problem 2 - Will visit my friendly mechanic this weekend and have have him remove the plate holder.. Problem 3 - So its confirmed FOFO doesnt come with centre passenger mat. On a side note, i didnt get any freebies from my SA, no smart tag, no umbrella, no tint voucher, even SDAC keychain got no stock.. gotta wait..

On a side note, just did my tinting (Vkool + Solargard). Noticed that there are some bubbles. The tint guy says must wait 3-4 months for tint to cure.. then bubbles will automatically go away.. Must really wait that long???

The tint guy have left a sticker at the side window button that says not to open windows for 48 hours; and another sticker at the de-mister button that says not to on for 2 weeks. There is a special note at the receipt that says the tinit will take 3-4 months to cure completely... QUOTE(dynames07 @ Jul 19 2013, 05:35 AM) mine was tinted with starblaze 3m. no bubble even after application. however, the guy did say a bubble might appear but will disappear in a week time only. never heard of it taking that long to vanish.

What is the memory size of the USB stick that you are using? Try using a low memory stick like 32GB or less. One important thing is tat the usb stick needs to format to FAT32. Just make sure your usb stick does not have any built in auto-run software like U3 (Sandisk) etc.. Hope that helps.. QUOTE(dynames07 @ Jul 22 2013, 01:56 PM) i don't even able to play my music from usb stick.. anybody can guide me?

Just sharing a tip to those FoFo with sunroof... if you are installing non-JPJ tint (i.e. dark like sunglasses type), there is 2 options to avoid paying any fees (or tips) during road-blocks. (1) Go and see a specialist, pay RM200 and get a letter to say that you have sensitive skin, allergic to sun etc... or if you have a friendly GP, then RM50 should get you that letter. (2) Whenever you notice a roadblock in front, just open up the sunroof.. it definitely makes your car seems brighter. QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Aug 22 2013, 01:40 PM) Hi, I am surprised too. For this particular security tint, the Centurion RX-4mil, the VLT is 53%, TSER is 62%. This tint is only in compliance with the side windscreens. From my understanding after speaking with the installers from Huper Optik and also Raytech, and also by reading the forummers' experience on this forum, most of the tints even if on paper are in compliance with JPJ regulations ie. VLT 70% for front windscreen and VLT 50% for side windscreens, if sent for testing most of the tints will usually fail the test as the original windscreen may already come with 5%-10% tint in the factory. Not too sure how true is this. Also, the VLT as published or claimed by the manufacturer isn't exactly all accurate. Bottomline is in real life or practice, when your vehicle is on the road, if the tint isn't too dark then there should not be any problem ie. you won't get into any trouble with the police or JPJ guys. Those who tint their vehicles way below JPJ's regulation, belo VLT40% for front windscreen and below VLT30% for side windscreen, these vehicles might have a higher chance getting into trouble with the police. Funny thing during my conversation with Raytech's lady on the telephone. She mentioned she tinted her vehicle way below JPJ's regulation, very dark, and she was stopped by police twice. An RM30 to RM50 tip had got herself free.

Just wondering how is sierra glow compared to other glass coating? I am planning to get glass/ceramic coating done at Bling Detailing Haus? Anyone has any experience? QUOTE(choowh @ Aug 25 2013, 01:02 PM) You can search lowyat forum and look for Steven. I did huper optik for my previous car under the "cover jpj" c70front c40side/rear package. Performance wise is good but too glaring for front windscreen. Slight discomfort if u drive under hot sun for long period of time(traffic jam)...this time around I opt for darker tints c40front c30side/rear and is much more comfortable. After having done 2 car with huper optik, i can say from outside it look quite dark for both cars but from inside is quite bright/clear even for my focus with darker tints. Steven emphasize many times that with this darker tiints they cant "cover jpj" for me. Again, if police/jpj want to disturb you they can give all sorts of reason. As Sierra glow, the owner quoted me rm650. Hopefully can bargain further as I'm returning customer. The rims spraying, didn't really ask around yet. If possible I might ask around fellow focus owner to lend me their spare tires...I wont be using the car during the rims spraying as i do have spare car, so I will just screw in the tires for safety reason

Frankly i believe the 5 year warranty are nothing more than marketing gimmicks.. I'm pretty sure there are a zillions things that are not covered under the warranty, like rain, sun, bird poo, sand, haze etc. plus plus.. Anyway, getting some protection or coating is always better than nothing right? QUOTE(choowh @ Aug 26 2013, 03:14 PM) agree with what you said. No clear definition/explanation in the warranty. I did my other car last year and till now it looks good but definitely not as good as it first came out from the detailing centre. There are many detailing centres out there that charges few thousand so im in no position to expect perfect stuff for the price i paid.

I have the same problem. The number plate holder is causing the front sensor to beep non stop. You can actually do it yourself.. take out the holder and just stick some 3M tape to your number plate and stick it back.. I got my tint from V-kool.. but most good tint are more than 1k... QUOTE(hulala @ Aug 28 2013, 11:06 PM) Just got my Titanium+ white color last weekend! The SDAC have the lousy number plate installed on my car and blocked the front sensor. When the parking aid is activated the beeping sound annoys me. Will go to change the number plate this weekend. So far so good. Anyone can recommend trustworthy tint shop? Budget below 1k.

You can actually open up the number plate holder with your bare hands, its like clip on at the side. Once the holder is open, you can easily take out the number plate. There are like a few screws that attached the holder to the car, just removed those screws to remove holder. You can then use some double side tape and stick your number plate back to the car. QUOTE(aneip @ Aug 29 2013, 10:14 PM) How to take out the plate holder? got screw or just double side tape?

We are in the same situation.. pure city driving really sucks.. crawling an average of 2-3 hours every day with average speed of 10-20kmph.. Not doing much justice to this car.. must really to it the highways and try driving to JB or Alor Star.. QUOTE(lowkl @ Sep 4 2013, 05:41 PM) Clocked 4535 km in 2 months, 7 days... Average FC is now 10.96L/100KM. I am purely a city driver, with at least 60% of the time in KL traffic (from Hell), with average speeds of 10kmph. What I find is the FC shoots up when sitting idle/crawling. I get about 9.0L/100KM on clear roads. ... and oh yes... first 2000km I was doing 11+L/100KM.... gets a bit better over time it seems....

Yes.. Ron95 not problem... although most people recommend the use of Ron97 for cleaner combustion and better performance. Due to the high cost of Ron97, I am using Ron95 + Octane Booster. Found this method to be cheaper... Anyone has similar experience? QUOTE(SportyHandling @ Sep 5 2013, 08:49 AM) Just to confirm. The Focus can use Ron95 fuel isn't it?

I think 3k rebate is the standard, esp from SDAC.. maybe dealers give more can discounts and freebies.. I am still waiting for my Raya Goodie Bag... QUOTE(thanish @ Sep 19 2013, 05:05 PM) i got 3k disc for non plus titanium model itself before the raya period where originally only standard 1k disc. during that period i got to know also can get more than that for + models on top of standard 3k discount during that period. So i'm sure the dealers able to compete and offer better discount. not sure for current period on the discounts.
