QUOTE(kampoon @ Jun 3 2013, 10:05 AM) Hmm Good idea, will later go home and check on it.bout the keyless feature, what the different between holding the handle (without pulling) and just touching the touch sensor. normally i will hold the handle while my thumb will touch the sensor and it will lock (after 3 sec) anyway i will go home and try as well. |

QUOTE(Dwango @ Jun 30 2013, 12:01 AM) I was browsing from the 1st page of this thread until the 31st page for about 2 hours. Several questions as follows :- i can anwser question 2 only1) I read that the 0-100km/h acceleration of the Focus is 8.0s. Does this apply to both Sport and Titanium models? Where does this figure come from? Is it mentioned in the brochures or somebody tested it in real life? The reason I asked this question is because most 2.0 litre sedans register 10.0s to 10.5s from standstill to 100km/h. Some of the powerful (non-turbo) cars manage to go down to 9.0s. In my mind, 8.0s is quite excellent for a 2.0-litre family sedan. 2) Is the car reasonably quiet when cruising at 150km/h to 160km/h? (Engine/wind noise) 3) Anybody tested the top speed of the Titanium? Thanks. that one really depend on the road, during 150-160km/h the wind is louder then the engine noise. i do hear some squeaking some from my seat due to small bum on the highway. Oh ya, anyone refill their coolant be4?? need help what brand to buy, there are a lot of brand of coolant in Ace hardware store, but not sure if all coolant compatible. |

QUOTE(lowkl @ Jun 30 2013, 04:23 PM) Just to add: just found out that: ohh i see , the manual doesn't say much of the security thingy, later will try it out as well wondering whether is the door is in unlock during driving/moving the door won't be open- the only door 'lock' is a lock button on the central control panel). None of the doors (including the drivers) has lock devices - the lock is purely to prevent people outside from getting in. At any time, unlocked or locked, any door can be opened directly. |

QUOTE(Dwango @ Jul 1 2013, 08:39 PM) Thanks for the information. Much appreciated. well , i need to test that again, from my exp i believe most of the wind noise are from the doors.Does the wind noise happen at one windscreen or all windscreens? Usually wind noise happens when the interface between the windscreen and the rubber seal around it is not entirely tight, perhaps due to unevenness in the rubber seal or hardened rubber. The tiny little gap will cause the wind sound. If entirely tight, there wont' be wind sound even when traveling above 170km/h, in my experience. not too sure about the rubber either. |

QUOTE(karichiken @ Jul 1 2013, 08:09 PM) I went to SC last Friday to complain about the car juddering at low speed. They installed a new software for me and that changed the way the clutch engages and also the way the gear changes. mine is 3k plus millage still jerking abit at low speed, haven't went to any SC to install the new software.I noticed 2 significant difference: 1. With old software, when I press the accelerator suddenly, there is a lag in the throttle response then the gear suddenly drops and then the car would just suddenly accelerate. With the new software, the gear drop and almost instant and the car's acceleration is more predictable. 2. At low speed, the rpm is not a lot higher. Seems like the gear is not fully engaged and rpm around 1.1K even when I am not pressing on the accelerator. The juddering I guessed would be reduced because the car now revs higher with clutch semi engaged. I am just worried if this would affect fuel consumption and worse still wear the clutch quicker. Anyone installed the new software. Comments??? just a dumb question , does all SC in MY able to do the software upgrade? |
