yesterday was my second day of driving focus, enjoying it very much, the solid feel going through bumpers, thanks to the independent control blades and also the sport tuned suspension.
However, I realise a few things:
1) there's bad jerking when jam at steep up hill (example in a shopping mall parking)
2) the smart entry delay about 0.5 seconds before it unlock the car, meaning if I approaching my car, I can't open my door immediately, I have to put my palm in the door handle, and open it slowly (not immediately, wait about 0.5 seconds)
3) There's delay in picking up, about 0.5 seconds before the power kick in, example if you wanna accelerate further when you're in speed of 60-80km/h
4) The steering a bit too light during low speed, and a bit too heavy at high speed (this maybe personal preference
)
And today when I drive my Vios to work, I realize Vios is so much more responsive (feel lighter, in fact it is lighter, Vios kerb weight around 9XX KGs and our beloved Focus is around 13XX KG) and smoother gear changing, maybe I dare not push the Focus too much yet, (scare of the jerk, so just go smooth, be gentle on the pedal).
In resident area, Vios's steering is so light and easy to turn, the handling is not too bad either.
Overall, still loving my focus very much, after all, it's my choice!
Oh ya, one more thing, the Ford Sync, it was working fine on day one, and yesterday, don't know due to what command it received wrongly, it went to a mode call "line in" and seems like it trying to play music from my phone device, and ever since, my bluetooth phone never work, it just keep disconnect ever time I try to pair it, and even when I try to delete it and reconnect, it doesn't delete...
Should I do a master reset? Will my radio setting all gone, or it just reset the BT device?
1) i think the bad jerking is very normal especially when the car is very new. it is even worst when you are reversing up on a slope. but it will be gone when you reach more mileage. mine already 7.6k and jerking is totally gone.However, I realise a few things:

2) i don't think i have any issue with the smart entry or i don't think i am sensitive enough to feel a 0.5s lag. but by logical thinking, maybe there will be slight lag in detecting the key which resulting in the very minor lag in opening the door. system limitation, maybe?
3) i have read somewhere in this thread about the DCT used in our car. the system will learn about our driving habit and it will try to anticipate our next action. maybe the slow in pick-up is caused by the car being very new and it is still learning about our driving habit.
4) regarding the steering being too light and heavy, i think it was for safety reason. if you are going at high speed and the steering is very light, you can easily lost control from the slightest of turn.
previously i only drive a viva elite and the upgrade to focus MK3 feels heavenly!
