First time hearing Watami card. Max RM 150 cap for 1 quarter. Is it the same as Maybank's M2Card and OCBC Ti? As they are RM 50/month? RM 150 for 3 months?

But it is good to swipe one huge chunk amount at once (>RM 1k per transaction). For e.g. RM 3,000 can get RM 90 instead of RM 50 for Maybank or OCBC.

Or am I missing anything here? unsure.gif

the cash back is based on quarterly basis. that means RM5000 of spending per 3 months gets RM150 cash back

ya, it is good for paying insurance premiums

I already started this thread in February 2013....
A few of us have all tested the first Quarterly Rebate and it is 3% (or up to max RM150 for 3 months).

The capping start for 3 months... not monthly RM50.

Yes, min total swipes of RM3k (within 3 months) will get 3% CB, cap at RM150/quarter.
Yes, can be single swipe of RM3k and get RM90 CB.
A good 3% CB for big ticket items (car/house down payments, gadgets, hospital bills, new LED tv, furnitures, vacation packages, etc).
And it is a Visa card which has high acceptance by merchants.  thumbup.gif

Yes. The rm150 cap is per quarter basis. You can swipe one ultra book worth rm5000 and then keep your WATAMI card the drawer for the next quarter. Planning to apply this card too to complete the dream combination of cash back CC ie HLB WISE, M2Amex, OCBC Ti and AEON WATAMI.

Thanks guys for the replies. notworthy.gif
Got it. biggrin.gif Now I can have further discount for my new MacBook Air. At first thought of using OCBC Ti to have 1% rebate and will use student's pricing (using cousin's name), so that must purchase online. biggrin.gif It only accepts MasterCard and VISA online.

Good idea for insurance premium as well. I pay mine monthly with OCBC Ti now can change to quarterly payment.

Now time to look for HLB WISE. biggrin.gif

I was in MV today and passed by the AEON CC centre, nobody was there so I applied for the Gold Card for free PPL access. laugh.gif
I hate the gold colour but no choice... sad.gif

So, which is the better way to make payment? Via IBG or bill payment? unsure.gif

I don't intend to swipe anything for now, will read more about this card later. I know about AEON rebates.

OK, I seldom go to AEON. Then, looks like I won't swipe anything major for now.
Will terminate it next year. tongue.gif

To make payment by cash at the counter, do we need to bring the statement and is there any proof of payment like a receipt?
*
Sorry but this may sound stupid, is it easy to apply for online account to view statement? I asked the staff and she is not sure... sweat.gif
Applied two cards today and messed up how should I get the GST payment of RM 50 credited back to my account... sad.gif

Yup, as i recall..the online portal registration is not much of a  hassle.

What offer do you get to offset the GST?
*
Alright, then I will register one once I have activated the card.

To be honest, I cannot recall at all... cry.gif
I remembered she said credited something RM 64 into my AEON card or my CC, I'm not a fan of AEON actually... laugh.gif
I don't have any AEON member card and now I'll be given with one. laugh.gif

Based on previous applies, swipe 1x min RM50 anywhere within 3 months to get your cash rebate.

Plus, you will get addition rebate either RM12 for one year or RM24 for three years, this is for New Aeon credit card where the card itself come with Aeon membership.

Thanks for the information. Sigh, need to swipe min RM 50, I thought any amount. sad.gif
